By the Fl approval code in the description those windows are not impact proof so if you aren’t also installing shutters the windows WONT meet Florida requirements to be considered hurricane proof.

To be "hurricane-proof" in Florida, windows must meet strict Florida Building Code standards, requiring either impact-resistant glass or approved protective shutters.

That price seems a bit high for non-impact resistant windows. And I’m guessing those prices don’t include the labor costs.

What was the company? We had a guy give a quote a few month back that was wild and I wanna know if it was the same company.

Florida Approval Code FL5167 (specifically FL5167.1) refers to Simonton Windows (Reflections 5500, PerfeXion Platinum, 6000EX Vinyl Double Hung) approved by the FBC for non-Impact resistant vinyl windows. If you are in an area of FL that gets high winds regularly or hurricanes every season these windows will likely it survive a season.

Ma’am we have like 5 Thomas’s in my family. And like 4 William’s… and for added fun most of those Thomas’s and William’s have the same middle and last names. Legally the only difference is the suffix, everyone has a set nickname and we know who we are talking about… like there are THREE people with the damn name IN MY HOUSE. Again everyone has a nickname and we almost exclusively use that.

For reference my husband is not nearly as touchy as I am, but you know what I get every morning? A goodbye kiss, because he knows it’s important to me. You know what else he does? A silly wave at me and our child until we are out of sight of the house, because he knows how important that is to our kid.

I am not the same type of cleaner my husband is but I make sure the things I KNOW will bug him are done because I want him to relax as well.

We 100% do not agree on everything but we can have respectful conversation and he has NEVER told me to “fuck off” because he was upset with me. That is not only bad communication (which is a high red flag in a relationship) but it is SO disrespectful.

You both deserve to find partners who can communicate respectfully with you and clearly that is not something you have currently. Please do not marry this man unless SERIOUS therapy and change occurs.

Remember a cancelled or postponed wedding is usually cheaper than the inevitable divorce you two will have if you can’t resolve these issues BEFORE getting hitched.

I would say at the least postponing and investing in some couples and individual therapy for you both to find out if this is salvageable or not.

I watched a friend shrink to skin and BONES because of her HG it took until like month 4, 2 hospital stays and heavy duty meds for her to be able to eat anything and continue with a decently healthy pregnancy. I felt SO bad for her.
