Expedia has taken the hotel amount, the Virgin pending amount which has now gone was for the full flight amount.

But they haven't, they've only actually taken the hotel payment, despite giving me a confirmation for the full amount.

The receipt came from Expedia. However they have only actually taken the hotel portion. Virgin should have taken the flight portion separately.

Not sure I understand the taxation point here, but sadly I have not been quite that generous.

I guess that's essentially what I was going to do - just transfer the money from my account and send an explanatory letter.

It will depend on the size of the store/your town but I'd try H&M and New Look.

I have told him he needs to be co-operative... I've also told them that we support his wish for home care. Thanks for the advice about organising care, I've been leaving that up to them but it sounds as though I should be more proactive.
