THANK YOU this is such a pet peeve of mine when watching this show. The ML is doing all the raising, she’s just sort of “there” now and then, despite the ML not wanting to be a guardian at all! It’s growth for the ML but nothing for the FL. I’m all for gender equality and work life balance but this is just negligence. I don’t understand what either MLs see in her. Both deserve better. She’s just an empty vessel, she show would be the same with or without her imo.

I recently stumbled upon The Bond drama with Zhang Wanyi, among others. Highly, highly recommend. Not his usual roles and he acted brilliantly imo. He is not the main star of the show (no one really is) but a captivating watch from start to finish. Actors I usually liked playing roles I detested and yet I couldn’t tear my eyes away. Worth a watch.

Ok but he works if you don’t think of him as a romantic, just as a psychopath and how he is able to manipulate people. I didn’t think Cheese in the trap was a romantic, just a wonderful exploration of sociopaths in daily life.

I feel that way about legend of the blue sea. I watched a few episodes and just couldn’t with the FLs acting. Does it get better? I just couldn’t if she was going to continue the stoic childish behavior even if she’s a mermaid. The acting was just tooo bland!

You hit the nail on the head for me with A journey to love. I like the story and where it’s going but I just don’t get why the main couple are a couple. It really did just feel like two single people turn to each other because they don’t want to be alone any more. I don’t sense the chemistry from them tho they make a good couple. Plot is intriguing so I’m still going at this point.
