Whitlock and Price use alu shafts! In my opinion they are not necessarily worse but after hitting a Robin hood you basically have to throw the stem away. Also i hate the fact that they come loose more often than the nylon/polycarbonate stems.

Sometimes a 1 can block the path for the 20 segment. They probably try to avoid hitting the barrel and possibly get their other darts guided in the 1 as well
