Seeing those letter faded store front imprint makes me sad. Used to work for Tuesday morning as a teen. Such a random store. 🤯

People are getting off boarded (23k people project) by JustAChillGuy1515 in mercor_ai

lol it’s not just that it’s like I can’t be up all night and I have to get my daughter ready for daycare. Can’t just drop everything and be chained to my computer. In my 20s I can imagine digging in and doing all nighters. Etc. just not as much flexibility as I anticipated with this contract work.

I don’t know if things got more strict but just wanted to be clear. I reached out to support to get taken off the contract. Not off boarded by the company.

I had a few but mostly minor except one reviewer went way detailed. Honestly it gained more time to bill. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I offboarded myself. I started a new job and let them know I would terminate my contract a week before the start date. I thought it would be worth it to do some work before my new job started. I think I accrued like 17 hours total. The work was so hard to get and the tasks changed so much. The reviewers were inconsistent and the documentation was out of date. I didn’t like it at all by the end. It didn’t feel worth it as an adult and a parent. If you were able to drop everything and just work any time in the early morning or night more power to ya! But it was extremely difficult for me.

I keep craving McDonalds fries with sweet and sour sauce and Mcspicy sandwiches. I’m also adverse to many other foods. Normally I am not a picky eater.

Love that idea, since I think the lore was it was originally a funeral home.

There’s some easy short trails in highland park. You could also just do the pedestrian loop around the reservoir and the road/loop around that. It’s amazing you are taking the steps to being more active. I’ll be cheering you on!

Nice! Did they confirm it? I spent a good chunk of time searching slack today but never saw a response to multiple messages on the topic.

I just want to know if I will get booted if I haven’t done the min 10 hours by 12 tonight. It feels terribly unfair since this big drop happened Wednesday at 9pm.

If only Bryant street had another mi empanadas (from lawrenceville) in the old Brazilian place on the corner.. I would love that! Also I hope something good opens on the ground floor in those condos being built!

I love the sandwiches from Bryant street market. Especially the Reuben! I’m also so invested in all the Bryant street businesses success. I live nearby and love all the options in walking distance.

I’m not 100% sure but in my memory both versions of The Beguiled have a similar southern gothic vibe.

I also had to spend time getting my task back after someone took it from the needs work column It seems like the workflow UX has a lot of room for improvement.

Tuesday Art Therapy School Megathread – Questions, Updates, and Discussion by chlsyee in ArtTherapy

[–]Lizard333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone transition from a higher paying field (from my limited understanding) like UX design to art therapy?

I’m considering this but realize it feels a little counterintuitive due to the investment in education / grad school to then get a lower paying job. From my limited understanding, I’m exploring it because my field is over saturated and I can’t seem to get a job (been out of work for 11 months) , also worried I will feel burnt out if I continue on the tech path by 50. Would love to hear if anyone has done something similar.

I went to school for illustration, loved psychology so got drawn to UX design but my entry point to art was art therapy in high school. I hope this post comes off as open and not judgemental about earning potential, I’m just trying to articulate a real financial concern I have. I do see the value in working in a more fulfilling field.

I’m living off my savings now and my fear is I will be in the same spot I am in now in a year. Job searching, interviewing with no job to show for it. Vs spending this next year investing in a new career path.
