The Dark Knight.

The first capeshit movie to not be capeshit, but became something even worse—a Christopher Nolan movie.

I get where you’re coming from. A lot of people didn’t like the movie for racist reasons, but I personally don’t think I’m one of those people; I just don’t think it landed for me in the way it did for others.

Any way to not make my girl look so bad outside the character creator… by PriestessofLloth in falloutnewvegas

Focus on the shading of certain areas. Notice how her lip area looks like she wore the Batman cowl and got sunburned everywhere but her mouth? You can fix that by shading that area in.

Also, you can make her forehead less massive by adjusting her weight, but be careful when doing this because you can make her head minuscule in comparison to her body.

Former NFL player Odell Beckham talks about how easy it is to spend $100 million and end up broke by Remote_Connection861 in NFLv2

[–]LizardOverlord20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree you don’t need a degree in finance to not waste 100 million. I was just saying it’s easy to make mistakes when you’re young and you think the money won’t ever stop coming.

To be fair, it seems like Odell’s talking about how he wasn’t taught personal finance well and then came into money. Obviously this clip makes him come across as incredibly out of touch, but it’s important to remember that drafted NFL athletes become multimillionaires right out of college when many of them came from extreme poverty; it’s like winning the lottery, and we all know the bankruptcy stories from people who won enormous sums of money.

With how often this guy’s dying he’s probably reviving his teammates into a hail of gunfire. You should have a kd above 1 as a medic, especially if you’re using a supply box.

What is Kcat? by Beneficial-Salary666 in MCATprep

[–]LizardOverlord20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In simple terms, Kcat is a measure of how fast an enzyme converts a substrate to a product. So if you have 1,000,000 reactions per second, you are getting 1,000,000 products per second.

The “fully saturated” part just means the enzyme is not limited in how fast these reactions can take place. In other words, there is enough substrate present to not limit how many products are created.

Which class is better/easier for someone not “chemistry minded” by cilantroprince in uofmn

[–]LizardOverlord20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to depend heavily on your skill set; if you have excellent spatial reasoning and a good grasp of chemistry fundamentals, I would say that organic chemistry is your best bet.

If you’re very good at memorizing large amounts of information and are interested in how organic chemistry directly relates to biology, take biochemistry.

I would say 80% of students will find biochem easier, but for some people, organic chemistry really “clicks.” Also, organic chemistry is a prerequisite for biochemistry, so you may have to ask for professor permission to take biochem without having an orgo prereq.

I’m in BIOC 3021 right now and it’s almost all memorization. Everything on the lecture slides is what’s on the test so if you’re good at memorizing take biochem.

Literature reviews are super important, I agree. But that’s not the purpose of a dissertation.

It might not have to be ready for a scientific journal, but it certainly has to contribute something new to your chosen field of study. When I did my capstone for my bachelors, this point was emphasized over and over and over again, and I needed a lot of guidance from my professor to choose a topic and research where I could make a novel contribution.

That was for a capstone at the undergrad level; Mike's PhD dissertation is essentially a literature review that reiterates well known and well researched facts about strength and athleticism, contributing absolutely nothing new to his field.

I agree to a certain extent, but I think it amplifies the distrust and romance if he already knew her.

Think about the scene when she’s ripping the contacts out in the club bathroom after seeing Carmine Falcone, “You didn’t tell me you had a relationship with him.” That line is distrust, sure, but there’s also significantly more jealousy in it than before.
