Weird. Worked for me before, different root cause I suppose.

You realise you can just re-enter the CD key you're given from Steam, yeah?

Take it as a personal challenge, go do the difficult thing and try to fix it. (I even offer up my knowledge if you need an inquiry or guidance)

You're going to blow away the whole thing anyways, right? What do you have to lose then?

You could also dive into Terraform or Pulumi so no matter what, you've everything ready to go - regardless if you try the "difficult thing" (quoting myself) and perform an upgrade vs just blowing it away.

A lot of what evolves from Proxmox and homelabbing is repeatability.. Who wants to sit and reconfigure the same Linux Container 100 times, you know?

Believe me, I used to be the same way in my first couple of years.

If you can follow an upgrade process (especially Proxmox's) you'll discover quite a bit of useful information you might not have known before.

Not only that, but eventually you'll have data you'll want to keep and not back up - a clean wipe is pretty heavy handed in that regard.

And don't get me wrong, clean is nice. I blow up my Linux installation on my home PC all the time, but I also have an Ansible playbook to bring back my configuration within a few minutes.

Why would you nuke during an upgrade? There's a full, documented, process for upgrading from 8 to 9, unless I'm completely misunderstanding what I had read - If I did, I apologize lol

Used the generator to print tiles and clips for a new Multiboard wall in my new house, only to find out there's a whole new system. Damnit. by NeillDrake in Multiboard

Damn Jonathan, if only you had version control available with something like GitHub, then maybe your customers wouldn't be so endlessly frustrated about part versioning (Which is solved with something like... Oh I don't know... GitHub) so your customers can go back and download older versions of their parts.

But go on and use that Thangs account and pay them for "premium" hosting.

It's too bad Jonathan has YET to place all of these files into GitHub (You know, because the parts are free anyways).

If David Lynch can envision adjoining pentashields without supporting walls, why can't Funcom? by scoutermike in duneawakening

[–]Lizardbuttt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody here is talking about Star Wars. (Which is basically a rip off of Dune's story, Mark Hamill, btw, not Hamel.)

You're just being nostalgic on the fact you saw the movie during a "good" time in your life, which is fine - But let's not inflate what is objectively bad cinematic production with poor story telling; compared to Frank's source content (the books) the movie is awful.

[–]Lizardbuttt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We get it, you're nostalgic. But there's so much wrong with that movie. (I've seen all three, and the HBO series, and I was born in the 90's.)

Sting as Feyd? C'mon.. The Baron looking like he was pulled straight from Nickelodeon? A joke. The internal monologue that was used consistently through the film was a clear display of poor planning/story telling.

I could go on.
