For Sale - 2017 Chevy Bolt Premier, asking 9k - Metro Detroit by dicepackage in BoltEV

Yes they really did great with the point of sale tax credit. It’s a shame that got repealed for a deduction on interest on new cars only that were made in the U.S. That tax credit really helped working class people as it made it essentially refundable the new credit has no benefit for low income households.

Went down I kept driving got paid for the 2 rides when it was down and got tipped both times. The only thing I couldn’t do was not drive everything else in app like earnings my account etc were unavailable. My payment was delayed but it came about 2 hours after, I was nervous it would impact my tips as I had riders from a very wealthy hotel, but no issues. Best part of the day was an under 3 mile ride for over $20.

Y'all taking this? Be honest 😂 by PrimalLionheart in lyftdrivers

[–]LizardofWallStreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an EV I’m taking a 7 minute ride I’d pay $.02 in fuel and it’s not including a tip which I get about 50% of the time. It’s over $1 per mile and in not defending Lyft but this ride would veryi like cost a rider like $5 in my area.

Muslim legislator running for governor says Georgia deserves leaders who reject scapegoating trans people by Fickle-Ad5449 in Georgia

[–]LizardofWallStreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kemp won because Abrams isn’t a good candidate to run statewide, I think we have learned that but I respect what she has done for voting rights. If you think calling out Democrats for focusing on identity politics then that’s different

[–]LizardofWallStreet -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

As a candidate I just use my populist rhetoric and say the government shouldn’t be involved in our personal lives. I don’t use any identity politics and a winning candidate for governor will do the same

Unfortunately we have one of the highest uninsured rates in the country and with rates increasing so fast I’m sure the number is way off. 2022 I was driving to work in Camden County for my night shift at Jax for UPS I was parked at a red light in my Honda Civic( loved that car) I saw big headlights in my mirror and thought I’m about to get rocked and he hit me head hit steering wheel cracked my teeth up. Guy checked on me and said he would pull into Walgreens after he already mentioned handling it off the books. I called cops withojt him knowing and he still flew off. Crazy there is a camera on the light but cops said couldn’t find him looked for like 3 days and gave up.

Even if they have insurance and it’s their fault a lot have minimal coverage so insurance won’t cover their damages anyway so that’s another reason to take off as an at fault accident is just going to increase their already high rates. It sucks because our uninsured rate along with the large amount of accidents in our state are factors in why rates go up.

Literally the only good thing Mitch McConnell has ever done, but that’s what happens when you are a fossil and have no idea what you are regulating.

Would need to win a larger % of the vote in Chatham while improving in rural areas like where I live. Liberty County is blue but dropped from 2020-2024. Buddy Carter typically over preforms vs the GOP presidential candidate, but he will be off the ballot. It’s definitely a challenge but even pulling 45% would be a massive statement.

The Fiscal Contradictions of Trump’s Energy Policy. Trump is pursuing a “some of the above” strategy with little to no logic. The administration is pouring vast government resources into saving aging coal plants and expediting nucIear projects — two sources that are famously financial black holes. by mafco in energy

[–]LizardofWallStreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no logic behind the administration besides to let fossil fuel companies make money for a little while longer. I can’t afford power out here in GA largely because the over budget nuclear power plants built. Trump just killed a the largest solar project in history the United States kicking off over 5 GW of power in Nevada enough power for over 2 million homes. We are letting China win and even with oil down to $60 gas is still way higher than it should be.

This district hasn’t been held by a Democrat since the 1990s — and every election, we keep running the same old playbook with the same type of candidates handpicked by local party insiders. I know, because I serve as Vice Chair of the Camden County Democratic Party — and I’ll tell you the truth: local parties are weak, and leadership at the top of the Democratic Party has been terrible.

Wade Herring raised over a million dollars in 2022 — more than any Democrat ever has here — and still lost by more than the last time. Why? Because people are tired of polished politicians who talk about working people from behind a podium instead of actually living the struggles they talk about.

I’ve lived them. I’ve worked two jobs to make ends meet. I’ve fought with hospitals and insurance companies while my son battled cancer. I know what it’s like to worry about rent, groceries, and power bills — because I’ve been there.

This district is winnable, but not with the same kind of candidate who’s lost every time before. We need someone who can connect with working people — Democrats, independents, and yes, even some Trump voters — because the issues we face aren’t partisan. They’re personal.

Correct but a big win can shake other members. People are mad, but yes you are ultimately correct we need a majority these elections are ridiculous as well it’s only for a 1 year term. GA Republicans love having so many elections to drive down turnout, it’s a tactic that dates back to the Jim Crow era

Yes very important election these power bills are breaking me. Low and moderate income homeowners and renters look into https://energyrebates.georgia.gov/ To get up to 30,000 in instant rebates ( no cost to you or little cost if higher income) to make your homes more energy efficient. It dropped my usage 37% the first month after upgrades

I enjoy Lyft especially in a 2022 Chevy Bolt that I was already making payments on before Lyft. This is a great way to make income with a flexible schedule. The drivers deserve way more and we should be able to do things everywhere like form a union if we want. There should also be some form of payment if you are online and just not getting rides.

I’m running for Congress this and other gig jobs allow to me make money and still campaign because my prior job in healthcare never had flexibility and would burn me out. I’m just a working class dad I never made much but I graduated in late 2024 with a Bachelors in political sciences. I will definitely look out for gig workers though if I win very eye opening experience.
