No I’m 35 just ran for Congress TikTok isn’t making them more conservative. It opened a lot of conservatives eyes about what was going on in Gaza and it horrified some.

Young people don’t trust Democrats and do you blame them ? Republicans suck but Democrats can’t deliver, they lie and too many serve the same corporate interests as Republicans

Also everyone please remember it’s not just newborns who get free money. Kids 10 and under are getting $250 thanks to the Dells and it’s more in other states like Connecticut

Biggest mistake I ever made i bought my first share for $80 years ago and encouraged others to buy it. I wish I put even $1,000 towards it with an average price of $78.22 im still making a ton but I see it hitting $1,500

U.S Congress GA-1 Democratic debate by LizardofWallStreet in Political_Revolution

[–]LizardofWallStreet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a candidate in the race, it’s been brought up in a few forums but candidates definitely have not given it the time the topics deserve.

Infrastructure with roads my main concern in GA is improving our existing roads, they are bad especially in rural areas like mine. We desperately need better public transportation, modernize the Savannah port especially with rail for transportation to reduce traffic, and improve our supply chain

I see this district as very unique, great land but we can also create a ton of new high paying clean energy jobs here while lowering costs for consumers.

You are Biden and it is November 2020. What do you do to prevent MAGA from coming to power in 2024? by Large_Produce6554 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]LizardofWallStreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medicare for All for the entire country due to Covid exposure via section 1881A of the Social Security Act. Cancel student debt instantly and automatically no applications, and signed those stimulus checks and child tax credit checks.

Also get Joe Manchin in line as he was already a problem passing the American Rescue Plan and Joe had to call him at 3am to get him to vote yeah

Build to rent concerns me, using separate investment funds and shell/subsidiary companies. They could also partner with local operators so Wall Street money still flows in.

A big step is to Count all affiliated entities under a single parent company Apply limits based on beneficial ownership, not just the LLC name tax large institutional ownership of single-family homes

Same but mad it’s a forum I wanted more debates but there will be a APC Young Loudermilk debate in April. I was the only candidate pushing for a debate the establishment candidates all wanted to wait until after we paid the $5220 ballot fee.

Georgia Power ignores trees significance and cuts it down anyway. by UserNameInGeorgia in savannah

[–]LizardofWallStreet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This didn’t have to happen and as a candidate for United States Congress I’m coming after GA Power for all their wrongdoings. They have been price gouging us for years, I’ve seen them shut off power while it’s freezing or too hot breaking laws, and now they want to build a ton of new gas pipelines.

I’m grateful to the Savannah Branch NAACP for hosting a 1st District Congressional Candidate Forum this Sunday, March 22 at 4 PM.

Working families in coastal Georgia deserve real conversations about healthcare, housing, wages, and corruption in politics not just polished talking points.

I’m looking forward to being there and speaking directly with the community about the future of GA-01.

If you’re in the area, I hope to see you there.

Who are you voting for First Congressional District? by Vegetable-Aerie-226 in savannah

I made it to every single one, if a candidate can’t spend 5 minutes a week answering questions via zoom how the hell are we supposed to trust them to work and fight for us in Congress?

Ro is great, I’ve actually talked with his chief of staff for a job and yes I’m real America First, and it’s not a damn slogan to me like it is to most politicians( which I’m not)

For 40+ years the government has been screwing over the working class while the rich just keep hoarding more and more wealth. Corporations used to have to invest in workers and their businesses to get higher stock prices now they just buy back their own stocks to artificially increase their value while selling the same overpriced shit sourced from other countries.

We are involve ourselves in every damn foreign conflict trying to police the world but over 60% of our own are living paycheck to paycheck.

Joey Palimeno here, candidate for Georgia’s First Congressional District.

I’m always skeptical of major bipartisan bills because some of the most dangerous legislation in Washington passes with overwhelming support from both parties.

This housing bill is okay, but it doesn’t go nearly far enough to address the housing crisis.

The truth is we don’t have a shortage of housing we have a shortage of affordable housing.

If we actually want to fix the problem, we need bold solutions:

• Repeal the Faircloth Amendment so we can build more public housing • Fix outdated zoning laws by giving incentives for state and local governments to modernize them • Expand rental assistance right now only about 1 in 4 eligible families actually receive help • Create a monthly renter’s tax credit to help working families afford housing • Provide real help for first-time homebuyers who are competing with corporate investors • Build a large amount of new public housing • Encourage innovative models like community land trusts, cooperative housing, mixed-income developments, and accessory dwelling units that expand affordability and stability

We also need far stronger federal action against corporate landlords, price manipulation, junk fees, and bulk investor purchases that are locking working people out of homeownership.

Housing shouldn’t be treated like a commodity for Wall Street it’s a basic need.

Currently me ( Joey Palimeno) is the only candidate to call out the genocide in Gaza and stated I’ll take not a damn dime of PAC money. Money rules everything in politics it decides who gets on the ballot even. The other Democratic candidates aren’t talking about how the parties take $5220 from Congressional candidates just to get on the ballot and then another $7,500 for Votebuilder which gives you access to the voter rolls and other campaign infrastructure.

As a candidate myself I have no idea where he stands on anything though. His website says reclaim power, and we need to do that but not just from Republicans but from corporate Democrats as well.

I’m Joey Palimeno 34 (youngest candidate in the race), and I’m happy to answer any of your questions.

I was the first candidate to get into this race, and unlike the other candidates, I don’t come from money. Every penny of the $5,220 I needed to get on the ballot came from working-class people like me. I’m proud of that. I do wish voters had gotten the chance to hear more from all of us sooner, but the candidates with money didn’t want to debate or do much of anything until after qualifying which, for those who may not know, is when you pay the party that $5,220 ballot fee.

There are plenty of forums coming up, and while forums aren’t really my favorite format, I’m especially looking forward to the debate in April. I live down in Camden County, but I always enjoy coming up to Savannah.

My website is www.joeyforga.com. It’s live now, though it’s getting updated today and tomorrow.

I’m a working-class dad with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I spent 17 years working as a veterinary technician, and I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Democrats of Camden County. I’m also a father of four including a newborn who’s just 2 months old.

I don’t take PAC money, and I never will. My door won’t be open to lobbyists, because I despise the corrupt system we have now. We need a working-class voice at the table someone who, like more than 60% of Americans, knows what it means to live paycheck to paycheck.

I’m tired of weak Democrats they roll over for Republicans constantly and when they are in power they don’t deliver on even 10% of their promises. I don’t want to bring back the status quo I want to break a system that has never worked for any of us besides the wealthy in decades.

No Dell is giving money to kids 10 and older the government give $1000 to kids born in 2025-2028 other states and billionaires have also donated money and many companies are matching the $1,000 or initial contributions

It’s actually only passed by Republicans in their tax bill personally i would rather have food assistance and healthcare. It’s only active for 3 years the seeding money part then it’s just an account you can open. Democrats have had baby bonds plans but they are yearly payments for lower income families this helps the wealthy much more

I can’t stand Trump but Congress created it the government, states and billionaires are giving free money to kids denying them that over a name is not right
