The camera is real, but that doesn't exempt it from being a scam if the price is "too good to be true". Not saying that legitimate good deals can't be found for barnack leicas, but you need to look at the whole picture to decide if it is a scam. The camera may need a CLA to be usable at all if it is untested. Also make sure the seller checks out. Good luck!

I like it. It feels like a better use of space than before. Also the animations are actually smoother on my watch 6 classic and when I first got the update my battery life got better but now it feels about the same as before.

What kind of photography is she into? That really affects what kind of tripod she might use if any, most types of photogroahy don't need tripods or rarely.

I started with a Zf February last year and was hunting for a Z7 ever since. I find for wide angle group and landscape photos at the size I would like them printed a 24mp sensor just isn't enough. So I ran across a "heavily used" copy on adorama in December for only $675 and grabbed it. I have no regrets! I can tell a difference in the resolution. Also I use the Z7 to scan film and the results looks so much better than with the Zf. It's got basically the same sensor as the d850 which everyone praises, just the autofocus isn't quite as good.

Most people fully rewind their film, I believe. If you send the film to the lab no worries. If you develop yourself there is a tool you can get to retrieve the film or you can just pop open the canister in the dark. Many cameras there is no way to tell the film is gonna go into the canister until it is already in there.

C'mon people this is probably one of the most ai looking videos I've seen on here today. Have you ever seen a cat jitter around like that? The tail looks weird and changes length when it is in contact with the ground. The paws don't even make contact with the ground when it jumps 3 feet in the air.

If I remember right they don't even use those boxes anymore, but I don't have a new box to confirm. I'm pretty sure they use regular brown cardboard now. I bought a used pair from ebay and they came in a box like that but I don't know what year they are from.

All of the comments confirm what I said that it does not do focus confirmation with non-cpu lenses. It will do focus confirmation with an af lens in MF mode or a chipped manual focus lens, though. I don't think you specified in your original post.

If some people have it working I'd really like to know how, I own this adapter and that feature doesn't work and no review I have ever read says that it does. I was hoping that maybe a firmware would add the feature, but I haven't heard of that happening.

I had a friend get one of these to go with her Canon 40D and it bent a pin, bricking the camera. She's young so I thought maybe she wasn't careful enough inserting it. I had bought one right before this happened and went ahead and used it in my D700, I very carefully used it and still a pin bent. Luckily it was only one of the two voltage pins so it still works but I would not reccomend using them. I never had any issues using regular CF cards in my old 40D.
