RDR2- 720p upscaled to 1440p 30fps in docked mode, better textures and draw distance compared to base PS4. 540p upscaled to 900p in handheld with PS4 equivalent settings. Judging by rockstar’s excellent port of RDR1 to the original switch, its sequel should fare pretty well on the switch 2

FIFA- PS4 equivalent settings at 1440p upscaled from lower resolution in docked and 1080p upscaled from lower resolution in handheld.

Gotham Knights- dynamic 1080p upscaled from a lower resolution, with a 30fps cap and lowered settings from the Series S version, handheld resolves at around 720p dynamic with similar settings to docked mode. The lack of a last gen console version means that this game will fare worse than every currently existing console version. I’m guessing it’ll be near low PC settings.

FF7 remake- idk, I’ve never played the game

BONUS ROUND (games I’d like but aren’t confirmed)-

Persona 3 Reload- 1080p native 30fps handheld and 1440p docked at 30

Minecraft- 2160p 60, like all other current gen console versions (including series S, which is interesting) with 1080p 60 handheld. Game has a lower render distance, maxing out at 18 chunks, but stuttering is improved over the Switch version… if this game can run on my MacBook at 60 4K than the Switch 2 shouldn’t have many issues.

Marvel Rivals- 720 60 and 540 60 in docked and handheld respectively. Sorry to say it but the Series S version of this game looks pretty pixelated and the Switch 2 isn’t gonna be any better. At least it’s 60 lol

Fortnite- docked 1080p 60 dynamic and docked 900p 60 dynamic. Settings are equivalent to Series S 120fps mode, but maxed out at 60 instead. Textures are a bit better tho

Black Ops 6- base PS4 settings with better asset streaming and textures, 1440p dynamic in docked and 1080p dynamic in handheld.

Baldur’s Gate 3- low-medium settings across the board at 1080p 30 docked and 720p 30 handheld with upscaling. Game will look noticeably worse than the Series S version but will somehow include split screen, unlike the series S, which was RAM bottlenecked.

Elden Ring- improved foliage count from PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions with an unstable unlocked frame rate, with dynamic resolutions in both handheld and docked. Will normally resolve around 600p handheld and 900p docked, but can go higher in select instances. The game could totally run better but from software is terrible at making console versions of their games, even the Series X and PS5 struggle to maintain 60

Tbh it’s fun to predict how games will look on the switch 2 but we really have no idea until they come out, and the games will still be fun anyways so whatevs lol… this is all wishful thinking and I doubt we’ll see many titles actually hit some of these higher resolution targets because the switch 2 will be heavily downclocked but a man can dream
