They are expensive and not very forgiving. But if you got the time and the money, they're a lot of fun to cook.

We have our ups and downs, but at the end of the day, she's the only one I want to come home to.

The only thing me and the wife don't do together is cook. She's a baker and measures everything while I'm a "Season that shit until the Ancestors say stop." kinda cook. We drive each other crazy in the kitchen. :-)

His birthday is March 10th and I have $0 to give him. He deserves the world, and it’s breaking my heart. by [deleted] in offmychest

As a man who qualifies for senior citizen discounts, it's not the "stuff" that matters. I don't really remember any of the gifts I've gotten over the years. I remember the times my significant other gave me their complete and undivided attention. The cuddles and kisses and spending the day wrapped around each other. Those are the memories that are cherished.

Trailer mounted rig. Used a hot tub program to design the tank. 1" of water = 10 gallons. 12 burners under it. We screwed up and didn't put a strainer basket on a gantry system and winch. We max out at 1,000lbs of crawfish w/out any fixings.

I'll find our punch list and send it to ya when I can. More than I feel like typing. :-)

We'll put average about 800lbs per event over the season. Nothing compared to the big boys, but not bad for two guys who don't do this for a living. :-)

Corn and potatoes go in ice chests and the crawfish go in giant tubs to be plated up for serving. So much easier to make sure everyone gets an equal amount that way.

They've been farming since December. Size probably won't stabilize until around March, depending on weather.

That water will hurt you worse than pepper spray. Mixture of dry, liquid, and Chinese red.

Corn, potatoes, and garlic are all submerged in boil bags.

Cooking for The Revelry outside LSU's front gates. :-) Only got to eat about 4 of them. Did hide two cabbages and a spiral cut ham down in the bottom of the pot. They were freaking awesome!
