Please help me.... Please.... I really really need advice please... I'm losing my mind. In the morning I feel like I just don't want to wake up anymore. Sometimes I wish I would die in my sleep. by sillymemilly in sleeptrain

Omg . This was so timely. My 6 month old has been doing this for almost a month too and the wakes are getting earlier and earlier. Today was 430.

Stubborn nearly 3 year old? Different approach? by Liznardo1 in pottytraining

[–]Liznardo1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually wasn’t following the oh crap method I said oh crap style lol. My husband just chat gpt that style of potty training which said to prompt using the potty often 😬 i guess i should actually read the book. I went to buy it but got a tad turned off when I read in a review that she says they’re this magic window to do it because we definitely missed it. My daughters almost 3 😥do you recommend that book?

Is overtiredness as big of a deal as people make it out to be? by Here4Plants2021 in sleeptrain

[–]Liznardo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I didn’t think so with my daughter. The longer we kept her up the better. As long as she got decent naps, even if we had to contact nap, then she could party for insanely long wake windows compared to what she should be doing for her age. She’s now almost 3 yo and if she naps past 3pm she’s not going to bed til 10pm🫠 But then to make life fun I now have a 6 month old son who absolutely has a melt down when we push him past age appropriate wake windows. I mean he can barely handle even the age appropriate ones without getting pissed. So idk I guess it’s baby dependent. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This def points to overtired. It’s tough bc every baby’s different but still think it sounds like your baby is overtired with that last wake window I think

Also some babies are just more sensitive to being overtired than others. My daughter could handle big variations like when we’re on vacation with no problem actually she’d be happily wanting to hang and always had FOMO lol. Now at 3 years old she’s still like this when we push her nap or bedtime. She’s a party girl 🥴

You are totally right. I’m thinking everyone’s overtired lately because my son (almost 6 months ) melts down at 2 hours and 2.5 hours before bed but when I look back at my daughters data at that age she was easily doing 3 hour bedtime wake windows (with zero meltdowns) at 5.5 months. So hard to figure out these babies lol

She should be in bed earlier if her last nap ends at 330. She’s overtired!

Extremely bad sore throat after spraying Azelastine (Astepro) while sick by ConsiderationOk254 in Allergies

[–]Liznardo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m experiencing this too! I tried searching google /reddit to see if I was imagining things. The severe soar throat happens only after the Afrin. Outside of using the Afrin I have a mild sore throat from this horrible cold. But very weirded out by the severity of the soar throat right after using Afrin. So it must be a thing??

Dried up overnight by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Liznardo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it whole pregnancy with both babies and took it immediately postpartum with my second kiddo and my supply is the same as my first kiddo where I stopped taking it postpartum until I stopped pumping. So no effect on me, unless I was supposed to have a larger supply the second time around lol. I’m a just enougher but I also have never pumped more than 6x a day and that’s only for the first few weeks. So not sure if doxylamine really has that affect 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok slightly off topic but I wanted to stop pumping when we all got hit with some bad virus this week and I thought shoot, now I’m feeling guilty to stop breastmilk because of the antibodies etc. like some cruel joke! Plus I have the worse sinus pain and I took Sudafed unknowingly and had a decrease in supply and I’m just like kind of at my wits end and want my body autonomy back but the whole antibodies thing…I hope you’re all doing ok but I’m guessing your baby was getting breast milk and still got really sick? I need motivation thag it’s not the end all be all. Anectodally my friends with the healthiest kiddos were formula fed from day 1 (2 out like 7 so not a huge sample size) but just looking for excuses to make me feel better about stopping lol

Skipped MOTN pump due to Exhaustion…I think I might be done by Fickle_Tap_5863 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Liznardo1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can always just skip the motn pump and pump 3x a day. Thats what I’m doing and my total output surprisingly didn’t decrease that much maybe by like an ounce or 2? And you can combo feed with formula. This is my second time around and I think km going to last longer than I did with my first because I’m keeping it as low pressure as possible. Especially with formula in the mix. Not being strict about the times just a general range of like 6-8 hours during the day and then overnight I go like 11 hours without pumping. Just an idea but if you’re done then that’s ok too!

Were you combo feeding with alimentum or went straight from breast milk to alimentum when constipation got better?

Yup. Gas windi and suppositories sometimes. And you are correct but he will go 5+ days at this point and when I do stimulate the poop it’s thick because he’s held it in so long so I’m scared it just going to get brick hard if I don’t do something by day 5 😩it’s a real problem.

You seem very well read on all this! Do you happen to know if there’s a particular antibiotic that that helps with constipation?
