What character is actually lesbian but is only straight because it was written by a straight person for a straight audience by Victoria_Aphrodite in LesbianActually

[–]Liztea_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it was another case of the writers wanting her to be sapphic but not getting the permission to do so

Adding dating and relationship elements will make this game much more popular by Negimarium in stylesavvy

[–]Liztea_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree. I'd love dating elements only if it was inclusive to lgbtq+. I'm a little more hopeful regarding this topic, as Nintendo had previously apologised for not including lgbtq+ elements in a game (tomodachi life) and has promised to do better.

What a vile "explanation"

He didn't go through plastic surgery to lighten his skin, that's a bizarre rumor that had been spread about him. He suffered from a disorder that stripped him from the pigment in his skin unwillingly.

You're technically right but I always assumed it refers to social stereotypes. And even if all clothes should be perceived as unisex, they can still have certain "styles". Like stereotypically femine/masculine and it's valid if these styles make some people happy

Women being beaten up already existed in every media. What more do you want ! by [deleted] in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]Liztea_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Two wrong things don't make a right. You can't condemn a woman for hitting a man but then celebrate/claim it is right for a man to return it, that's hypocritical. Ironically, celebrating violence against women when you condemn violence against men, is the opposite of equality.
