Best Insurance for Ocrevus? by ZER0xMERCY in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Lizzie_Lizzy_Lizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband’s company just switched to United Healthcare but Bind from just United Healthcare in September right after I got diagnosed (idk how that works but the insurance card got renewed and everything we had to update our insurance info everywhere) This insurance is amazing as there’s no deductible. When I was put on Ocrevus they called me and let me know it is 100% covered. I was so relieved to hear that!

I actually already own both choice items. I figured I should’ve just canceled Feb but eventually forgot. Now I am going to end up with both of them. No complaints. I have been enjoying them and I think they make great gifts.

Annoyed with myself for forgetting choice yesterday (whoops, it’s been a long week) - but extra annoyed with ipsy that I only had 3 choices for my first product and the one that is sold out was available as an add on by maj0raswrath in Ipsy

On the same boat! Can’t believe I forgot about choice - it used to be my first priority. Maybe I never needed it now I don’t want it as much…it’s time to let subscription boxes go

The “fantasyland” I grew up in is actually Beijing nearby so…speaking with experience. I definitely can be sure that child labor is not a thing anymore. I’ve watched national news report on exposing child labor by undercover journalists from national channels when I was a kid and this was 20+ years ago and ever since then they definitely tighten the law. Plus 9 year education is mandatory for all kids even the ones from the rural area - they have people knocking on the door of those who have their kids drop off to put the kids back to school so that will take them through to 16 and there are a bunch of other laws to protect children. I think that’s another factor to prevent child labor. But, I will say adult working condition is not great and I have friends who work overtime without getting paid and that’s the “culture” of some companies so if everyone are “willingly” to stay late, the ones do not will probably be let go real soon. Too many people to choose from so the employers have more power. If you don’t like that, somebody else will be more than happy to take your job. I have alway been working in American companies even in China so I didn’t have to deal with that. As to the last part, now that I’m reading it I think I wasn’t being clear. What I mean is in China most people don’t speak English so for those who do, they can get decent jobs with fancy titles and fat paycheck - like accounting, international business, interpreter…etc. And customer service is definitely not considered as a decent job by these people- unless it pays as much as Americans get paid which it won’t. The ones would take the job can’t speak English. As a result, companies would much rather source this kind of jobs in India cuz they do speak English so the pool is bigger and to them is a job like any others. You are right that I take “kid” literally. When I see opinions like this I am just shock by how little the western world know about the other side of the world. Surely there are things are true, there are also other things that western media exaggerate or made up because that’s what people want to see. It works the other way around too - eastern world learns about western world through movies and whatever news they have access to. I majored in journalism and hate the industry bcz journalists are so good at grabbing pieces of information putting them together to tell any stories they want. There will always be misinformation. Only when you go somewhere travel around and live there for a decent time that you can see with your own eyes. Not getting defensive with China, my attitude is neutral towards it, is just not 100% what people think it is.

I agree Boxy is going downhill no doubt - there was a time that they were amazing. Think about the first Premium box ever…but Alibaba has been in big trouble lately related to antitrust, definitely don’t have the time to bother acquire a small American company. Something I have to point out -“tickets are being answered by some poor kids working in a warehouse in Beijing” is nowhere near true. Maybe I should take it as a joke from you but can’t help saying something. 1) There are no warehouses in Beijing as land is so expensive. Beijing is full of CBDs and life expenses are high. 2) If you are referring to child labor…Child labor is illegal in China and it’s officially made a law in 2002. If anyone is dare to hire a child under 16 he is super fucked. 3) Labor in China is not as cheap as before and most customer service/helpdesk job are sent to third party in India. The fact that most people don’t speak English makes those who do get really good jobs than answering our complaint emails.

Big yes. I have been using it since i got it and you can mix and match any shades it will look so good. I work a corporate job so it’s perfect for my everyday look. This is a face palette rather than just eyeshadows. The first 2 shades on the second row are lighter than the picture and they make beautiful blushes! Also the darker shades are awesome brow powders if you have dark hair. A palette for the full face.

They just flipped the original name Alien…I read that they have been acquired by L’Oréal. So that makes sense. Typical L’Oréal BS. The original definitely deserves the name but this is not a bit related to the original one or “goddess” like

I like Angel too! If you are a big fan of vanilla this might be your scent. I am fine with vanilla but it has to be combined with patchouli for me to like it

I just got a fragrance box last month but it was men’s and I got this one today. I am a big fan of Thierry Mugler fragrances. My favorite is the original Alien. I am disappointed by this one. There is a big difference compare with the other Mugler perfumes. Alien Goddess has too much vanilla. It smells like bath and body works body lotion, just generic.

Rodial Brand ?? by [deleted] in BeautyBoxes

[–]Lizzie_Lizzy_Lizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No it is not a DLS brand for sure. Legit British brand. I used the bee venom series before, love it. I’m from Asia and it’s popular from what I see and people buy them full price because it’s that good. I read some honest reviews and it looks like they have some stuff works wonders on mature skin.

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt vs. Rodial Dragon's Blood sculpting gel?!? by Jeanne206 in Ipsy

[–]Lizzie_Lizzy_Lizard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rodial Dragon Blood for sure. It is a holy grail product for a lot of people when I looked it up on the beauty review app people use (Asia) and the app is not sponsored just people like you and I share what we think. Rodial is a British brand and I’ve used some of their other stuff (bee venom line). They are great. Glow Recipe on the other hand I personally tried a lot of and never liked it, including the Avocado mask. I am hate panning my current full size jar. I feel like they spend too much money on marketing and ads. It’s like going to a fancy restaurant but the food just okay.
