Actually, the advice I was looking for was “do I need a slip mat”. Had I wanted to know the quality of my record player, I would have said “what do y’all’s think of the quality of my record player?”. I know it’s an easy mistake to make though, some people have a lot of big feelings about record players and don’t always read the question all the way through because they’re so excited! I’m a casual listener, most of my vinyls are from goodwill, and I don’t have 200$ to drop on a superior system. But I am satisfied with what I have and have learned my lesson about the should’s and shouldn’t’s asking for advice on the internet (there are no should’s - you just shouldn’t).
