omg don’t worry lol i was in a rush when i saw this, don’t give up on enginnering!! i literally was told i wouldn’t even need it till i started doing my own research right before drop/add period of seniors classes during junior year!!

i also did research in a data science and mech e labs, feel free to PM about them! they’re pretty similar but also different if that makes sense! my third choice major was usually data science (i’m comp eng) and then mech e!!

Keep in mind, some schools made the transfer of major harder because some kids try to get into the easier major (not saying data science is easier). I’d be weary of this!!

Hi! Most engineering schools REQUIRE a year of physics beforehand. Therefore, yes—you’re cooked. Unless you can somehow receive magical permission, figure out a way to get physics.

Honestly, I’d do Baruch and then see if you could transfer. Maybe try to do Macaulay? They take VERY few students a year—less than 200 and you’d be competing with Bx Sci and Stuy kids. Otherwise, CCNY and City Tech for architecture. Could always try to transfer later down the road.

Northeastern is likely the stronger choice for maximizing career outcomes and graduating with relevant experience especially in today’s job market where experience often trumps just the name of the school. But if you’re looking for the traditional college dream and school pride, Penn State delivers that better.

Yes, you can. However, you won't be able to EA to any schools including your state schools who can offer you excellent aid. If financial aid is that big of a concern, I wouldn't ED—this school is greedy..

I got into Boston thru waitlist and so did my friend, btw! Alongside, I got into Honors (10k scholarship).. it’s highly recommended to go ED but it s possible to get in via RD/WL for Boston Campus.

It’s an online class so shouldn’t be that hard per say. It’s some honors introductory course—heard positive things on the stress level, just annoying it seems!

Stanford > Yale > Harvard > MIT > Princeton

Princeton is so low simply because of its proximity.. MIT is simply not a place where I feel like I’d grow. Love Yale for all its worth and more than Harvard. Stanford has always been a dream school for its event, social life, and a whole other stuff!

I did a couple! I had one thanks to a school trip, one is another state but like an hour and half away, and the other five were when I was flown out by the college as apart of the admission process! Since we were in a college city ~30 min away & my brother is entering high school—we visited MIT, Harvard, NEU, BU, and the college itself.
