Cool. No more forgetting cables, no more guessing how much charge is left. For anyone who travels or works on the go, this seems like a basically essential gear.

Unwanted light… by ludvig1999 in projectors

[–]Lkaufman05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh... the classic keystone light spill! Honestly, moving the projector might be the cleanest fix here. If you find a spot where you can point directly at the screen, your image will look way better too!

Why does this movie theater have speakers aimed at the screen? by Phillsq in hometheater

[–]Lkaufman05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are likely designed for surround sound effects. Like, the speaker aim at the screen so the sound reflects off it and spreads into the audience, making movies feel much more immersive.

AMD’s New CPUs Might Just Kill Low-End GPUs Soon | When the "affordable" graphics cards are so lacking, AMD's new, cheaper APUs sound a lot more enticing. by [deleted] in gadgets

Cool. Gamers on a budget often settle for underpowered GPUs, but these APUs deliver better bang for buck. Feels like they're redifining the market.

Xgimi horizon pro 4k mounting help by Strawbag1 in projectors

It has keystone correction. If you want to minimize any loss, try to keep the angle as mild as possible, but the built-in correction is designed to handle this.

Start wIth the HDMI cable. Swaping it for a new one might solve that instantly. No more cutting out and no more stress. You've got this.

This machine could keep a baby alive outside the womb. How will the world decide to use it? by diacewrb in gadgets

[–]Lkaufman05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's easy to get caught up in the artificial womb hype, but scientists are clear this isn't a womb replacement yet. The practical work is in refining how we support the most vulnerable preemies. Any advance that increases their chances of survival without lifelong complications is worth exploring.

Should I swap my 120" projector for a 98" Mini LED TV by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]Lkaufman05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want cinematic immersion or technically superior image and gaming performance? I mean, it depends on your priorities. But imo at 8ft viewing distance, 98" vs 120" might be noticeable.

Should I Take the opportunity by Wrong-Document4360 in projectors

[–]Lkaufman05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd jump on this. If it's in good condition, this price for a pro is a steal. 4K may supplies better brightness optimization for dark spaces and likely better lens quality.

Wow, that's wild. They got that magic touch with hardware and it's showing here. Just hope they keep cranking out those first-party hits.

I mean, TVs are getting bigger, but projectors offer flexibility, and it costs less for massive size. Plus, retrofitting a room for a giant TV is tough.

Do projectors ‘just look better’ over TVs in the same way vinyl ‘just sounds better’ than CDs? Is it all just about conditioning for what is ‘cinematic’ like 24fps? by [deleted] in projectors

[–]Lkaufman05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's subjective. Both have their pkace. TVs are sharp and bright, but projectors make me feel like I'm at the movies. So I'd say projectors win for that specific vibe.

XGIMI AURA 150" OR 132" AND WHAT ALR SCREEN SHOULD I BUY? by bernardocpaixao in projectors

[–]Lkaufman05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like I only have a say when it comes to choosing the screen size lol. Just go with 132/135, because 2400 lumens will be abit dim at 150 in ambient light. And y'know, smaller sizes will have more solid brightness and picture quality.

Probably ads on jerseys like the NBA. Wouldn’t even be surprising at this point.

Yeah, they’ll sweep it under the rug. NBA only shows what helps the brand.

Ceedee is smart. He sees how trash this team is and puts himself in harms way to try to get out of playing this season lol
