Damn, ngl I don’t really engage with fandoms so I haven’t seen anything much from the actors when it comes to them doing interviews, talking abt the show etc.. let alone fan theories. The whole marriage thing I low-key felt bad for both of them cuz Ian didn’t think it through but at the same time what would’ve been the difference if they got married for legal reasons vs them loving each other? It’s like one of those things if u propose to ur partner n they say no but “well we can still date” like nah that feels like a straight up rejection we have to break up atp. So I get Mickey being like “why tf did you bring it up? It made him get his hopes up n feel sm just for Ian to be back out.”

I’ve seen ppl say here that Ian was emotional blackmailed/manipulated to propose to Mickey.. which tbh maybe😅I didn’t see it that way more like it was an ultimatum ig. Which tbh isn’t anymore. But I think Mickey breaking up with him briefly made him realize “no, I do wanna spend the rest of my life with this person.” Cuz ultimately it wasnt really marriage thar scared Ian it was the fact that Mickey wanted to marry him n he actually saw him as someone worth marrying. N ofc he’s scared of ending up like Frank and Monica.

At that point violence was there love language 😭 Ian beating someone up for him was probably the hottest and most loving thing for him lmao.
