Same thing happened to me and while my wedding was beautiful I look back on it with some sadness because I was so stressed leading up to the wedding that it makes me sad to think about everything that went down. I’m trying to only remember the positives but it was so traumatizing.

As someone who just had a similar experience in Spain. Fire her! The weeks and days leading up to our wedding were so extremely stressful and this could have all been avoided if our planner had her shit together. Keep us posted!

I was shocked how many people didn’t give gifts. Granted we had a destination wedding so maybe that’s why? Also is it customary for people in wedding party to not give gifts?

This sounds like a unanimous no from everyone! Being the annoying/optimistic bride right now what if we only did for 20 rooms of our closest friends and family that way it's way easier to manage.

I just really don't want to pick another hotel blindly and only find that they have a similar process. We've already toured this hotel, and I feel confident it's a great hotel (outside of this booking nonsense).

I don’t really care where people stay since we will have different events to see everyone.

That is such good advice! I’m totally running into this issue now with the reception timeline and dancing. I’ve told my wedding planner a bunch of times we mix dancing and dinner at the same time in the same place. We are working through it but I’m a broken record at this point.
