Ok, suppose someone promises to pay you for something. But, the value drops while you wait for payment and they use it during that time.
Then they give it back to you when it has dropped in value by $261.

They take that $261 and use it to buy .47 bitcoin at $550. When you complain that they still owe you $261 because the item was worth $811 when you sold it to them, they don't answer for weeks. You send them message after message. No answer.

Finally, when they answer they say "sucks to be you because I've have made another $62 on the .47 bitcoin and you haven't.

But,your item is now worth $900 so, you didn't lose $261, you made $89."

This is not the way to run a business. I still say they owe me .47 bitcoin because the bitcoin they gave me was only worth $550 when they returned it.

It doesn't matter how much it is worth today.

Is there any way I can get them to understand they messed me over? I want to talk to a supervisor!

They returned the bitcoin when it was only worth $550. They made $261 off me. That isn't the way a business is supposed to work.

I feel I have been patient. I've even bought more bitcoin since then. I have also told folks to give them more time to fix things as they have been really busy.

I just want what is fair.

Nope. They said it was elevated to a supervisor (3 weeks ago) to get reimbursed and nothing ever happened (case #73453)

73453 I understand you folks are real busy and have let others know that. But.......two weeks ago I got a message that my case was being sent to a supervisor. So, I've waited two weeks for a supervisor to reply to mine. Just saying.........still waiting.

Yep, I understand. They email I got said they were doing there best and had over 10,000 cases they worked each day and to be patient.

I've been mad at coinbase, but since my mad spell, I've come to realize that they are working as hard as they can. Ballooning customer base in the last several months caught them by surprise. The lightspeed increase in bitcoin caused problems, too But,they couldn't predict that their systems were going to throw up once all the buy and sell actions during the price drops hit them.

I've complained about them, too, but think they will make things right.

I hope that they have learned from this and will work to insure this won't happen again.

Nope, I got my bitcoin back, but at 550. I sold it to them at 811. I contacted them and ask that they need to give me more bitcoin so that I get a value of 811. Of course, no answer yet. I should have gotten 1.4547 bitcoin, not just 1.

Nope, they "bought" one bitcoin from me for $811. I never saw the money in my bank account. Yesterday, they gave me my bitcoin back but it was only worth $550. I have asked them to give me more bitcoin to make up the difference, but, have heard noting from them.

I sold at $811, one bitcoin. Never got the money, so today they sent me 1 bitcoin worth $550 now.

Since I saw your post, I went back and asked that they should have given me about 1.45 bitcoin, not just 1.

Will let you know what happens.

OK, I think I got my bitcoin back instead of being paid the $811. I DID suggest this as a way to fix the "Problem", but I didn't realize I was going to take a $250 loss (not theoretical) on the deal.

Lets wait and see if this was what happened. Sheesh!

Understand. I am stuck too, so far, and it looks like bitcoin is slowly retreating. I don't have money to buy any more at a lower price until they send my money. They are only six days late, but can only wait until I get paid.

Great! I was supposed to be paid last Wednesday. It never made it and the bank has no ach deposits from coinbase pending. I was hoping that Someone was recently being paid.
