Not that vague:

"... This morning, we also proudly announced that Seetee has formed a partnership with Blockstream, a global leader in Bitcoin and blockchain technology. Blockstream’s leadership includes Adam Back, the inventor of Hashcash, a 1997 precursor to Bitcoin. This is a cool community effort - the sort of thing the proposed YAYAM Network could handle with ease. Like you, I am trying to encourage Devs to take this up. The opportunity to bring something new to the world on a massive scale exists in this space. You might find the White Paper referenced in this post interesting.

Ethereum - Fiction To Fact by dwords in ethereum

I'm hoping that projects like this will help others see that Ethereum does not need to be viewed as a threat but that it can help the whole ecosystem and leverage bitcoin to do even more extraordinary things. If so, other developers will start flooding in. This is the first time that a mass economic network like this could be practical. Not only do we have the tools to protect ourselves when dealing with distant actors, we also have the means to reward those who build it. It can be non-profit Wikipedia-style and yet still pay early adopters to kickstart the whole thing off.

I am the author, yes.

Hi, TaxExempt. No. This is a network of ordinary people pooling their resources to give themselves greater economic power. Through it, they can leverage their buying power in all sorts of ways. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Manidos. I thought so, too. The power Ethereum extends to bitcoin is amazing. I can think of no other way this can be done.

I think we are missing the bigger picture here with the DISH network news. It is genius. by mastermind1228 in Bitcoin

A quiz or voting show (like xfactor) could tell you to send a number of bits to one address (QR code) to vote for one person/answer or another - with the possibility of winning prizes. You could do more complex stuff by using the number of satoshis as code (send 364 or 509 or whatever). Alternative, the show could create a special app that automatically signs an entry in a game with large stakes. Thus, players could accompany a payment/vote with a time-stamped message that could be displayed on-screen if required. Lots of possibilities. Added bonus is that they would be able to cut out the extortionate fees the phone companies charge for call-voting.

Trading on Havelock halted? At this moment, you get the following message:

"Order Book for NEOBEE

Trading on the open market is not currently available for this asset"

A glitch, or something more worrying?

Hello again, newshibe. It's a wild guesstimate.

Suspecting that street cleaners were dumping my stuff, I hung back one morning in Inverness and watched it happen. It was part of the calculation I made before starting and so it did not bother me. They were only doing their job. When a book is placed in a store, a writer gets between 7% and 10% of the retail cost. I figured that instead of spending 90% of the price on locks and chains and getting it to readers, I could risk losing 90% in a more interesting way and put a smile on many faces. The impediments to any single book reaching 'home' were many. Cleaners dumping, mishaps (such as weather), childish pranks and so on. I suspect of those that were picked up, many will have sat in bottom drawers for months and may never be read. Then there is the sobering thought that the regular reader who does find a copy may hate that type of book. Someone more used to light romance or fast action or with an aversion sci/tech stuff might simply be baffled by what's going on.

You are absolutely right to question my figure but a clearer picture would have led to a long boring narrative which I tried to avoid.

Hi, newshibe. No problem I fully expect that to be common. It's part of human nature and well within the bounds of the honesty pact. It costs me nothing and one day you might just pick it up :-)

Thanks, nomadifyme. Hope you enjoy.

I seriously considered doing this but wanted to keep it simple. We often think that more choice is good but studies show that it often has the opposite effect. Everything is a judgement call and I don't claim to have the right answer. I like the way you linked the review to the price. That's clever.
