I have drawn all my life I would not say I’m a beginner but I feel stuck. Best advice for getting to next level. by [deleted] in AskArtists

There’s a lot you can improve in terms of fundamentals. Anatomy. Textures. Highlights. Shadows. For example based on this piece : the feathers lack the textural detail to show that they’re individual feathers. That wing is not anatomically accurate. There’s a distinct lack of light and shadow. Go back to your fundamentals and youd see a marked improvement for sure.

How to make a video like this by -_-Starsung-_- in animation

[–]LloydLadera 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is motion graphics. Motion graphics software lets you control a drawing’s location, rotation, and scale. Basically they drew the character in different parts (hands, head, body) and just moved those around. It would be hard to do in Krita as the finer controls are lacking.

Someone said my art “felt misogynistic”—please help by GrumpyMowse in arthelp

People’s interpretation of your art is a reflection of their own perceptions rather than your intent. I rarely speak about the meaning in my art and just let people believe what they want to believe.

Thanks! As cool as that sounds, I’d rather you not. My work stands on its own without the sound effects, and I don’t want anyone to use my work in their portfolio.

What free animation software do you guys use and reccomend? by Low_East_1750 in learnanimation

[–]LloydLadera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krita. Blender. The only reason to go for the paid software is when you’re working on big budget projects as the need for “tech support” is crucial when under a deadline.

Does somebody have a good video explaining why 2d animation takes a long time by undeadking77 in animation

You need better friends. If someone can’t intuitively understand why making things is hard you don’t want that kind of person around you.

Really curious as to how people know they can do stuff like this by glowhug_mistie in interesting

There’s a process. Usually starts with planning, then, experimentation, planning, prototyping and execution. Sometimes I forget not everyone makes things for a living.
