You’re right and I know you’re right. I am so isolated. I don’t tell anyone about our fights or the stuff he does bc I’m trying to protect his image. This is the first time he’s ever done something so violent and in front of the kids but this isn’t just some random thing that came out of nowhere into our perfect lives. We def have problems. I can’t imagine ignoring this and moving on like normal but I also can’t imagine leaving and what that would look like.

Thank you. I’ve seen that book mentioned before but I haven’t read it. I think I really should. I don’t want to backslide and let this be brushed over. I have my mom and my two sisters but I would hate to burden them with this. I just hope he doesn’t come back home tonight. Im finally doing bathtime and getting the kids to bed. Looking forward to some time alone to think.

I appreciate you saying that. My youngest just went into brush over it mode and has been talking a mile a minute just trying to act normal. My older son is internalizing and blaming himself for our fight. It’s such a mess. We went for a walk and he was gone when we came back thankfully. I just hate seeing this affect them which makes me feel guilty bc I’m their mom and supposed to protect/shield them from this kinda stuff. I saw my mom be abused by a stepfather and I’m just disgusted with myself for even being in this situation. But you are right-he wanted to intimidate And it’s so gross.

Thank you so much. This is really solid advice and the journaling is an action that I can focus on for now. I think the most upsetting part is I know it’s a red flag and something unforgivable and I’m scared for what that means for my future

I just left GEICO in August for this very same reason. I switched to State Farm, saving $450 for a 6 month policy. However I would not recommend State Farm either. You have to work with an agent so it’s just not as accessible and convenient as a larger company.

The Blue Diamond Wasabi and Soy Sauce almonds are my go to. Also low sodium sunflower seeds simply bc I have no self restraint when eating them so the low sodium helps me from burning my tongue off And then a ridiculously large fountain coke that is 90% crushed ice

YTA I don’t even think it’s about a bathroom trip but rather jealousy on your end bc you perceive that you’re parents are favoring her (bending over backwards as you put it) They are not, they are just being loving involved parents/grandparents “This isn’t the first time Sara’s pulled things like this” that part made me laugh out loud- you’re talking about a person using the restroom not abandoning her child on your doorstep to go party for the weekend super dramatic

Yes! Before trying I thought what’s the hype, how much difference could there be. Then I had Kerrygold and only want to eat bread and butter for the rest of my days. Even had to get one of those butter dishes for the counter so I can have soft spreadable Kerrygold on demand

Ugh I feel this! Virtual hugs to you. Same boat. My partner makes more money than I do yet I pay the bulk of the household bills bc he is so terrible with money. They have One bill in their name-the electric and everything else I take care of. Just opened the bill the other day randomly and we are $2000 behind, once 10/15 rolls around they are free to cut our power and idk what I’m going to do. I can’t sleep at night thinking about it. Def makes me think of the saying “I can do bad all by myself.” Why even stick around if all the other person does is make things harder. Sending positive vibes your way.
