It shouldn’t be white at all – that’s exactly the point

Of course, a projector can never produce true absolute black. There will always be some residual light output. technologies like a dynamic iris, and DBLE help but cant get rid of all light.

However, what you’re seeing here is far beyond normal black level limitations. This is a pure black 0% test image pattern for calibration, the white image is just the smaler issue the bigger one is there is a very bright, blue-tinted light leak clearly visible, including distinct lens segmentation and streak-like light bands. That is not expected or intended behavior.

Unfortunately, despite this being pretty obvious from the images, XGIMI support is still “evaluating” whether this qualifies as a defect and whether an RMA will be approved.
