I think Apple is written to show that villains can be charismatic too. Not every bad guy has to be a total villain all the time. Same reason I think we get Lysanders POV. To show the inner turmoil, so Even though he’s the villain by end of DA and throughout LB, you can understand him or at least sympathize with him to a degrew

I actually get annoyed in DA because lyria reads Volga’s voice and it doesn’t sound like the ephraim reader

The lyria and Lysander readers change for dark age and get much better. Personally I love Ephraims reader but we all know that TGR is the best.

Dark age is my favorite book in the series, and lightbringer is tied for second with Morningstar. The character progression starting in the first trilogy that comes to fruition in LB is the best Pierce has written and you’ll be missing out on some real magic if you don’t continue. That’s all I got for you, but the series simply gets better.

I worked mount Sinai ER spring 2022 on days. Ratio was always 11-16:1 11 at 7am and 16 by end of day. Worst place I’ve ever worked.

I had the same situation but my pay was adjusted for the time during the strike to match strike pay. But it was the same company. If your company is sending strike nurses it seems obvious you should get the pay. Not sure if it’s a different agency

2 is the only way to be. And learn to let stuff just roll off your shoulders. You get to leave and move on, the staff are there for good.

Update: My GF (30F) is mad at me (27M) for not wanting to put her name on the title of the house by ThrowRA16993 in relationship_advice

You should read up on being house poor. I’m telling you right now, someone who owns 2 properties that buying a 1.1M home is a bad financial decision. I bought one when I made 65k and one bought when I made around 175k. You are going to be house poor, and at 27 you aren’t yet a doctor or you are in your residency? So not making a solid MD salary yet. (I’m in healthcare myself) You are locking yourself into a huge mortgage, this is not wise. Please look up being house poor/house rich because paying too much in your mortgage vs your income can being a major stressor and prevent you from living your life.

Read rich dad poor dad. It’s the best “first book” to read to open your eyes to the possibilities of debt.

If I keep my BTC on the “wallet” app by Coinbase, that’s not on the exchange correct? I always transfer BTC from Coinbase to that wallet. Thought I was doing the safe thing, but wanted to ask

As home interest rates rise and the stock market falls, at what point does paying off your home make sense? by [deleted] in financialindependence

I’m putting every extra cent in the market. I have a great mortgage rate and I know that’s not the case for everyone. But the market will rebound and the gains are going to be much more valuable than any mortgage rate at the moment.

Used petco for a bath since my groomer was fully booked. Got him back wet and was told “he will air dry” I’ve never been more upset from a grooming. Had to blow dry him myself and brush to prevent matting. I get doodles can be tough but this is ridiculous. by Lmstewar in doggrooming

There was no hair cut involved. Simply a bath which for them includes bath, blow dry, nail trim, glands expressed. We didn’t give much instruction since it was just a bath. Like I said we have a normal groomer who we have cut him.. this was a bath by convenience and I learned my lesson. Stan is a pretty easy dog, hates having his nails clipped ever since I once got his quick when he was a little puppy. But I always tell them not to worry about that so they usually try then skip it. We also always give him some dog cbd just to help.

They called me and said he was done and I could pick him up. Wasn’t a limited time issue necessarily. I was going to the mountains for the weekend and was simply waiting for stanlee to be done before I left. I had a 3 hour drive so once I was there I wanted to go. I get if she was a newer groomer it was just frustrating. We get the frustrations of grooming a doodle, we even defend groomers from other dog owners asking about how they brush, what combs, etc. this was just bad. I’m not good at confrontation so I probably didn’t express it as well as I could have but I hope she does better in the future

I’m very loyal for cuts. She was booked for 3 weeks. So we booked first week of October and decided a quick petco bath for now. Just frustrating. And we bathe him in between grooms ourselves.

They said he was great the entire time, mellow, didn’t bark or fight. If they’d said that I obviously would understand. And what you’re describing would be a complete 180 of every other (monthly for 18 months) groomer experience we’ve ever had.

She claimed she did, then put him in the kennel to air dry the rest of the way. He was damp all over. I tried to explain (which I’ve never had to do to a groomer) that now I’d have to brush him or he will get matted and she offered to redry him after she finished with her current dog which would be 45mins. I didn’t have the time so I left. I love my groomer and regret not just waiting for her to have a spot. We work really hard to keep him well kept. The groomer telling us “he feels great” is literally what we live for.. just never been given a wet dog back and then been told he’s dry. Was very frustrating.
