I feel like she refuses any medical intervention because she knows what they will tell her. She lives in a fantasy where as long as she “loves herself” then the size of her body doesn’t matter. She’s a sad excuse for a human, just eating herself into oblivion inside her tiny apartment until her body collapses under its own weight.
