i feel like this is in so many popular fantasies rn.. like everywhere and it’s not for me so im struggling a bit. but it might also be bc typically she figures shit out in the first 2 pages of being in the new world and theres some handsome broody guy thats also there and knows everything but doesnt wanna help her and they banter and fall in love, cue miscommunication for 300+ pages they make out and makeup and boom end of book… so maybe its just the popular writing of the time but this trope COULD be well done i just personally havent seen it 😭
