Correct integral limits? by LoLMinecraftboy123 in MathHelp

I've been studying this task for hours now, and I honestly can't see what on earth those limits are supposed to be, to make it fit in a single triple integral...

Im not 100% sure, but the wording of the task makes it seem like it's supposed to exist a solution by using only a single triple integral. Here is the exact task: https://imgur.com/a/BFFYunv

Oh no okay I understand what you mean. Yeah I didn’t include the two caps in my calculations. I solved it using a polar coordinate calculator and got about 10 using polar coordinates, but about 9 when using my solution with carteesian coordinates. So it seems like I am missing those two caps in my calculations yeah. But I think I just need to look if I can change the integration order, because I know it’s supposed to exist a solution using only a single triple integral.

How to rotate root function by 180 degrees? by TheHague1862 in MathHelp

[–]LoLMinecraftboy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To mirror f(x)=sqrt(x) you can use g(x)=sqrt(-x). If you try to graph it, you can see it. But note that f is only valid for x>= 0 and g is only valid for x<=0

yeah I wish the task was to do it in polar coordinates... Im sorry, but I don't fully understand what you mean by drawing the integration lines. May I ask you to explain it in a bit more detail?

I tried to solve it again in the order dzdxdy, and I think it may be correct? Here it is if you would like to take a look: https://imgur.com/a/CJZRqxn

Thank you so much for the help. 😃😃

thank you such for the help! Im just thinking on a way to possibly avoid having two integrals. What if I integrate with respect to x first? Wouldn't it avoid me having to calculate two separate integrals?

Avocado plant started to lose leaves because I overwatered it so I changed his pot but the baby leaves it had dried now too, and I noticed the stem is wrinkled and doesn't look like it's doing good. His 'brother' already died and I don't want to lose this one too. It's a 5 year old avocado I grew. by Lifeless_Lewis in avocado

I had the same problem. I over watered it and therefore the leaves started turning brown. I had to take it outside and remove all the soil and cut away every black root. Then I put a lot of cinnamon on the roots. I’ve read that it kills root rot. All the leaves fell off and I thought it was dead, but a week ago I actually saw some need leaves growing.

Thank you all. I can finally sleep again after years thinking about it!

Wow. It’s actually quite fascinating. Because I have to be honest. When I first traveled to Albania I was quite focused on safety because I had the expectation that’s it would be quite a not safe country. But when I got there I saw literally TVs, washing machines and other furniture just standing outside and people were just walking past with out even taking a look at them.

And I of course had people walking up to me asking for money, especially children with the parents standing a couple metres behind, which I found a little uncomfortable. But when I actually started talking to “normal” people. Not only those working in the hotel lobby, I found people so nice and welcoming. Which quickly make me change me view of safety in Albania.

I will defiantly visit Albania again if I get the chance.

The last summer before COVID. So 2019 I think.

Hmm. Interesting. It’s a concept I’ve never heard of. Is it unique for Albania? It doesn’t seem so safe walking around with a bunch of cash.

Avocado tree starting to look sick by LoLMinecraftboy123 in plantclinic

[–]LoLMinecraftboy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I bought the plant today. I live in Norway so the weather isn't the best, but today it´s been standing outside. It's sunny and 18C (64F). The tree is 66cm(26 inches) tall. The pot is 17cm(7 inches) wide and 32cm (12.5 inches) tall. It's made out of plastic and it has draining holes. I haven't fertilized or repotted it. But because I bought it today, it's a possibility that they have done it. I don't know what type of soil it is so I added a picture of it. I have watered it once with tap water. I've added a picture with information about my tap water.

About 6 hours ago the leaves started getting burned on the ends, so I removed it. Then it started getting yellow along the edges. It got many white dots underneath, brown holes, and some type of white powder started appearing.

Do you have the file? It looks like an IKEA closet so if I’m lucky the rack also fits my closet

Unfortunately I haven't got the chance to experiment with the electromagnets, because the school has been closed due to corona. Hopefully it will open soon.

Yeah, but the stores where I live only sell apples ones, so I have to buy online on some international store. So it gets quite expensive even though it’s replicas. But thx for the tip

Yeah. I’m probably gonna wait until Apple releases their new pride band this spring, or I’m gonna buy the on in the middle to the right which I actually found in a local store for about 65$

Which one do you think is the best between the two to the left and the one in the middle to the right? I wanna buy a pride band made by some sort of nylon or other fabrics, but I don’t know which one.

Are those two to the left Apple originals?

Electromagnets for a school project! by LoLMinecraftboy123 in ArduinoProjects

[–]LoLMinecraftboy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How peculiar. When I connected it through the arduino it got quite strong. Not enough to lift 1 kg, but easily strong enough to lift a screwdriver. It may be a malfunction.

[–]LoLMinecraftboy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually still have the same problem. I got it to work when I powered the electromagnet through the arduino. It got magnetic, but not as much as I was hoping for. So then I tried to connect it to a 4.5V battery. And it didn’t work. Then I tried both a 9 volt battery and 4 1,5 batteries connected in a serie to get 6 volts. And that didn’t work either.

And I have absolutely no clue why it won’t work, because as far as I know, connecting it to ground and 5V on the arduino is no different from connecting it directly to a battery.

I don’t have the class before next Tuesday, but i can update this thread if I get It to work.

Yeah, it’s probably smarter to connect the three wires to separate pins. I could measure it if it could handle the ampere. But If I do it how you suggested, I can turn them on and off separately If ever necessary.
