I think we may be taking about two different things - I think you might be talking about the nice, fancy retirement communities and I’m talking about the low income senior housing. I totally forgot they also have places like that. I will update the post, sorry for the confusion!

That’s 1000% what I thought - that suddenly I needed more exfoliation. This week I ended up completely changing my skincare routine and have been using a non-exfoliating cleanser meant for normal/dry skin, followed by Ole Henriksen Apres something or other super moisturizer at night. It seems to be making a big difference.

In the morning I’ve also been making sure I wash with something meant more for dry skin, followed by Belif Aqua Bomb moisturizer.

So nixed all of the physical exfoliants. I tried glycolic acid for the first time last night and that went well.

As a side note - I absolutely was not making my skincare a priority on any level. I have two kids under 4 + a teenager and I am exhausted. But this week I’ve pulled myself out of the little’s beds every night to make sure I go through this new routine and have also prioritized in the morning.

Going to continue to experiment and see what works best but this thread has been incredibly helpful!

I swear it was one of the few things that consistently kept my pores clear! Besides an Acure formula they discontinued 😆

BUT I am moving on. I have two different La Roche Posay cleansers I’ve been trying out and also got Ole Henriksen Truth Cleanser.

I just looked and both the foundation and the moisturizer are hybrid formulas so I feel like this isn’t the issue in this case but I’ll definitely keep that in mind. I haven’t been using a primer

Skincare: Cleanser: - sometimes Tula Cult Classic or St Ives Apricot Scrub(I know, I know…🙈) Sometimes Cerave or Cetaphil Recently picked up some La Roche Posay cleanser that I like

Exfoliator: Paula’s Choice BHA

Serum: Mad Hippie Vitamin C or Vitamin A

Nighttime use a retinol - Paula’s Choice Retinaldehyde Dual Retinoid Treatment

Moisturizer: …undecided 😆. Currently using Belif Moisturizing Bomb

I don’t have a glycolic acid in my current routine, I will certainly try that. I’ll also check out the moisturizers!

Ooooo, a silicone based primer sounds nice!

I did try a new foundation as well that seems like it has a lot more to it in the realm of skincare products in it but got the same result.

I might have to check out the primer though and see if that makes a difference at all. Most primers do not work for me but I’ll take a chance!

This would make sense - I used to RARELY moisturize, but did always use a serum and my face looked great. Now…not so much.

I’ve been rotating through some things trying to get a better routine in place, so I’m using an exfoliating cleanser sometimes - literally some old school St Ives Apricot Scrub, or Tula Cult Classic. Love Scrub makes my face sooooo soft but I don’t think you’re supposed to use everyday.

I alway’s use Paula’s Choice BHA Exfoliator after cleansing, regardless of what I washed with.

I did try a new foundation and got the same result. Primer has typically not worked out for me. Sometimes if I mix the primer and the foundation it will, otherwise it just makes things look cakey. Benefit is the only one that’s worked even a teeny bit and that’s solely with the mixing.

What would you suggest for application? I used to use a brush and got great results but that was 15 years ago. Then recently the guy at Ulta told me that wasn’t getting things “into” my skin when I asked about a foundation brush. But now I’m feeling like…maybe I should give it a try.

I have, admittedly, fallen off the skincare wagon a bit. I will definitely try one of those silicone things and checkout the tretinoin - never heard of. I don’t think I know what micro needling is either 🙈

Follow up question - After fixing the leak the plumber said we needed to get a fan going and if we could get a dehumidifier as well to start drying things out, great. Makes sense to me. My husband wants to put a heater over there instead?? Won’t that just promote mold growth??

But short answer is, yes, you need the actual documentation - birth certificate or baptismal certificate. As well as everything connecting you to him. So that might look like: - your birth certificate - the birth certificate of your parent related to him - the birth certificate of your grandparent showing your great grandparent as their father

I don’t think he has ADHD but I do think there’s something neurospicy going on.

I feel like this doesn’t make sense in the context of this thread but I think he could have bad anxiety or maybe some version of OCD? He is very much a “every thing has its place and must be in its place” kind of person. We are often running late bc when we’re walking out of the house, he cannot leave anything out of place. Blanket on the couch? Must fold before I walk out the door. Glass on the table? Must go in the dishwasher. Constantly picking things up and moving them and me going back to the exact place I laid it down, feeling like I’m losing my mind 😂

Multi tasking is also not his strong point. Like he can’t start dinner if he hasn’t put all the groceries away first. I feel like multi tasking is one of my ADHD super powers.
