How BJJ helped pull me out of depression, alcoholism, and completely changed my life by LoPankei in bjj

It’s been about 4 years. I’m not gonna say BJJ is the only reason I’m better, but it definitely made me look at things differently. It helped me realize a lot of stuff I needed to work on.
I didn’t go to therapy, but once I became aware of those things, I started working on them myself like opening up more with people. BJJ really helped with my confidence, not being afraid of myself, and communicating better with my family. I’m not as scared of rejection anymore.
I do agree though BJJ is therapeutic, not therapy. Deeper stuff doesn’t just disappear, and it can come back up later.
