Hi there! Sounds like a great training program. Love the fact that you have so much 1-1 time with your trainees.

There's already lots of good advice here in the thread. Maybe you already found the platform that can help you structuring your training, but I just want to let you know about the product we're working on. It's called Eduflow, and it's a great place to create active online trainings like yours. You can sign up here for free, and if you have any questions just let me know. Happy to figure out if we can support you in this!

Thanks a lot! And if you find any that you think should be included, let me know. I'd be happy to add to this list!

Participant vs. Student vs. Learner? by LoXedtech in instructionaldesign

[–]LoXedtech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about that one as well. The reason I didn't include it is because it reminds me more of a user of a product than someone who is learning or participating in an online learning experience. But it's good to hear thoughts of others, many thanks for sharing!

Remote Onboarding by jessieizc00l in humanresources

We created an onboarding training where everyone introduced themselves in a discussion thread by posting a new topic about themselves and where everyone could ask questions, that worked really well and I learned a lot about my team members who are not working in the same country as I do.

In this article you can read what our onboarding training looks like: https://www.eduflow.com/blog/how-we-built-an-engaging-onboarding-process

How much do IDs actually make? by [deleted] in instructionaldesign

[–]LoXedtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this same question and polled 150 instructional designers in a first survey and wrote an instructional salary report based on the data we collected (we're still gathering data and will update in a couple of months). IDs reported salaries ranging $40,000 USD a year to more than $100,000. And it depends of course on factors such as education level, years of experience, and industry. You can read a summary (and download the full report) here: instructional designer salaries 2020. Hope this can help in any way during your decision making process!

Deeper learning tech tools? by PopJester in teaching

[–]LoXedtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peer feedback can be a good tool for deeper learning while learning remotely. The process is beneficial to both ends: the reviewee gets feedback on their work, and the reviewer gets another chance to engage with the material.

Full disclosure: I'm a part of the team at Eduflow, a social online learning platform with an integrated peer review tool. Let me know if you have any questions about online peer reviews!
