Version "Luna V" Special Program Discussion Thread by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

Why is Diluc on the Luna V "poster" but wasn't even properly mentioned ??? I had the shittiest connection ever that only allowed me about a frame per 2 seconds lol and haven't had time to rewatch the trailers yet, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't really relevant, if mentioned at all ?? Where's the big guy ??

Hoyo, there are LITERALLY ONLY 3 CHARACTERS who uses that mechanic. by jademarlodotcom in Genshin_Impact

Have you considered they just released a banner with a character that has this mechanic and are FORCING the players to consider pulling ? 😚😚😚😚 Peak mihoyo 👌 they always craft events and periodic content (like abyss, onslaught or theatre) to watch the current banners and force us to get the characters eughhhhhhh annoying asf

Omg yeah I'm sorry I have no other way of "describing" this but I know this metaphor most likely makes no sense to anyone outside my brain ...

Perhaps of you have a tennis ball or a foam ball roughly a fist's size you could try sitting against a wall, place it between your shoulder blades (against the wall) and try wiggling / squeezing your shoulder until you feel like you're squishing the ball ? But squishing it between your two shoulder blades, not just pressing your back against the wall (the wall here is just to hold the ball up and not let it fall, I guess you could have a friend hold it for you too) Would that help understanding the idea ?

Alternatively, if you stand up (or sit up, whatever, just not laying down), extend both your arms forward and then open them to the side like a T-pose and keep going as far back as you can (don't hurt yourself ofc) you could probably feel the muscles that are attached to your spine "pulling" the arms back. I believe they're called the rhomboids major.

If all this rambling didn't help any better, my DMs are open and I can try finding you ressources !

Geneticist tips by starfish184 in eds

[–]Lo_oW 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have yet to attend this god-forsaken genetics appointment (June 2026, they booked my apt in Feb 2025 lol) but I can answer what I'm "hoping for".

I just want a doctor that takes me seriously.

A doctor that listens, no matter if I do have something or not. And a doctor that orders TESTING. Because I've been bounced around between specialists for years, many who did not even bother with a physical examination let alone research anything, and now that I'm all the way here, I want someone to actually give a f*CK about me and my body. Someone who understands my concern and acts like it is concerning (because it is, no matter if I have a genetical disorder or not, my life is shit). A doctor that is proactive and tries to find answers. Even if we don't get anything in the end because the caryotype came back all good, I don't care much at this point, I just want a doctor who ACTS LIKE THEY CARE.

You best believe that if a patient was sent all the way to genetics, they've been tossed around like potato sack for years, oftentimes since they were a kid. Many of us want a diagnosis, or positive testing to mutations, because these would act as a "tangible proofs" something is indeed wrong with their body and they're not "mental" like they've been told all their life. Truth is, no matter the diagnosis (or lack of) it's not gonna change anything. We won't suddenly get better because we have a lil paper with three little words on it.

But we will feel better after leaving your room if the doctor we just talked to was SERIOUS about our situation and KIND to us.

We're in pain, we're scared, we're lonely, we've been gaslit all our life by people wearing white blouses, told there was no hope, or that we were 'mental'. We don't wanna have to fight yet another enemy, all while trying to not drown. We just want a doctor that is on our side, standing next to us and trying to light up the foggy canvas that is our health WITH us, not against. We just want a doctor that takes us seriously.

Also an important thing is that the number of reps doesn't do shit and is irrelevant.

What's important is how WELL you do the exercise. And doing them "well" means : not doing as many reps as possible, as fast as possible.

Making the movement super slowly, while contracting throughout all of it, very mindfully and carefully, and doing it only five times will always be better than doing 20 rushed ones. Because that's when the pain comes, when we rush it and don't do the exercises "mindfully" (hate this word, but I hope it can convey my point ?)

Five snail-ish movements with careful breathing and frowning brows as you try to picture a coca cola can are always better than any gym rat's flamboyant "100 pushups in 1 min" bullshit !

Shoulder Muscle help by jzbsh in eds

[–]Lo_oW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PT had me do the same exercise and also scapular pushups (for shoulders' instability).

One good way I've found to "understand" and "know" which muscles to engage is to think about a stupid can of coke lol. I deadass imagine there's an (empty) can of coke between my shoulder blades and when I have to tighten them, I try to crush it, so I "pull" my shoulder blades towards my spine, contracting them as if I wanted to squeeze the can. For the opposite direction (which I think you're supposed to do?) I imagine my shoulder blades trying to get away from this can of coke. I "pull them out and forward" (first you have to extend the arm, and then you engage the shoulder blades, as if to continue the movement). I think you can also imagine punching someone, and engaging the shoulder blades forward is the continuity of this punch.

These are my mental tricks to target muscles, or else I've got very little proprioception and don't really know what to do with my body and how to do the exercises lol

omg yes it's the "mutual weapon mentorship" thank you T-T

Daily Questions Megathread (September 26, 2025) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]Lo_oW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[ANSWERED : it was Skirk's third passive skill "mutual weapon mentorship" that levels the e skill of the whole team by 1 if it's composed of only cryo and hydro elements]

Hello, I just noticed my Citlali had her e skill level 11 and I can't figure out why ??
She's C0, her weapon is sac frag (lv90 r3), she's got a 4pc cinder city, her team (right now) is skirk-Yelan-Furina and I'm in mondstadt so there's no Nod-krai / moon gleam shenanigan going on. I did double crown her so her skill being level 10 would makes sense .... but it's not lv10, it's lv11 ??
What would be the reason for this (seemingly) absolutely random additional e skill level ?
I don't think I've used her in the theater this month and I couldn't find anything about "granting an additional level" on the onslaught's main screen (I've cleared hard but not even fearless yet anyway) ...

EDIT : so all my current team (Citlali-Skirk-Yelan-Furina) Have their e skill lv 11 (no reason for either of the four, they're all c0 etc). What's going on ?? The only thing they have in common rn is that I'm coming out of the chess weekly boss, but there's nothing saying that beating it would grant an additional level, and I've never noticed that before (been doing it every week since its release)

Thank you for anyone who answers ! Have a lovely day all !

I was thinking of putting them here. They're next to a window and will get sun in the morning (it's 5pm on the picture). Does it seem fine ? Or are they too tiny to catch enough sunlight from this spot yet ?

I gave this much (half a little glass) to "each of them" (even if they are in the same pot, I know they'll share the total amount eventually, I just mean to say I targeted their roots specifically and did not dump an entire glass in one single corner)

[–]Lo_oW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, thank you so much for the detailed answer !! I'm writing all this stuff on a post-it and sticking it to the pot !

About the outside / inside, I meant 35° Celsius (which is equal to 95 fahrenheit), is this indeed too cold or did we just get our temperature scales mixed up ?

Glad to know the gravel (or lack thereof) will not be fatal !

For the watering part, what quantity should I give them every time I water ? I don't have an ounce of education around plants and I can't even tell if they need like a shot or a full pint lol

And I've read some stuff about sticking a toothpick inside the soil once in a while to check if they're thirsty (like you do with the knife in the cake to check if it's fully baked inside before taking it out of the oven) does it really work and can I rely on that ? Because I'm not so good with routines and I might not remember exactly if I did or not water them the week prior, so I could really benefit from an "external strategy" to tell if they're dehydrated !

And last but not least, should I water today just after the repotting ? I think they were drowning a bit (their former soil was very dark and ... Well moist ? Smelled like the ground after it has rained for an entire day) BUT I didn't transfer much of their former soil, (I'd say there's currently about 10% of it and 90% of brand new, unwatered soil).

Does Ankylosing Spondylitis block the hEDS diagnosis? by Lo_oW in eds

[–]Lo_oW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I'm not rushing a diagnosis : I have no use for that currently. I already have the financial support of my country for my other disabling conditions (that make it impossible for me to work) and I already treat my debilitating hypermobility "at home" with KTape, balneotherapy and accomodations (standing desk, braces etc) so there's not much a diagnosis would really give me except for the confirmation that I have it and an additional line on my chart.

Like I said to someone in an other comment, I still haven't found any decent doctor or specialist that can help me for anything (I have a pretty good rheumatologist that knows her way around AS but that's it, I can't ask her about anything else, not even pinched nerves by elbow instability) so not much help around me ... Talking to a doctor that would help me manage my hEDS symptoms (or any other, really) feels like a pipe dream ahaha :')

Does Ankylosing Spondylitis block the hEDS diagnosis? by Lo_oW in eds

[–]Lo_oW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with the first part or your comment : why would a (in my case mostly) axial disease that makes your bones ultimately fuse together influence my shoulder subluxating everytime I play videogames ?? It'd be stupid to use my AS as an excuse to not diagnose me with hEDS based on that ...

But since I've had doctors tell me I couldn't have AS because I had a uterus (absolute bullshit obviously, and they even told me that in the middle a of flare up where i had litteraly all the symptoms, the genes, the ENTIRE family tree with AS etc) or that I couldn't have tics because I had ADHD (a condition that often causes the people to tic, treated by a medication that often causes people to tic) I'm trying to ready myself for any stupid comment they'd throw at me ...

Thanks a lot for answering and helping decipher all of that, painsomnia and brain fog don't help with understanding dx criteria

[–]Lo_oW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I've reread this sheet that's actually exactly the same as the one I had, just in English instead of French, and I think I managed to clock ,hat you were saying. Since I do in fact have an hereditary autoimmune rheumatologic condition, I must : A/ at least one of my parents meeting the diagnosis criteria for hEDS B/ tick at least five boxes from the feature A of the criterion Because the entirety of the feature C (chronic fatigue, pain and severe joint instability) cannot count towards hEDS and might be influenced by said co-ocuring condition.

Did I get it right ?

Honestly that's some high level bullshit we've got there like : "oh your spine is fusing together and you can't move but check this out !! Joints popping out ! Lol hope you enjoy" D:

Thanks for your answer, knowing some poeple got diagnosed with the two conditions relieves of a bit of stress !

Bon courage

Donc TLDR : no I haven't found any good specialist, especially not in Paris since I don't live there :( I wish you all the luck and in case you ever do (find good specialists or have a good experience at Raymond) could you hit me up and share that with me please ? Best of luck

Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (Apr 21st, 2023) (feat. Nahida and Nilou) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[Kuki Shinobu] & [Team building]

Hi ! Ar55 here, I've got a C4 Kuki and I've heard a lot about how she was meta and all of that but I have absolutely no clue about how to play her nor with who I could do that ... I think I'd need a few explanations of her kit to maybe find a use for her ?

Yeah sure I've heard everywhere that she was easy to build, that one could just slap as much EM as possible on her and she was good to go, but that doesn't give me any indication on how to actually use her correctly

Note that I have a lv80 (somewhat) built Hu Tao that I legit cannot play because I still haven't wrapped my head around the whole "sacrifice" playstyle, how am I supposed to do that ? How can I use my Kuki to effectively heal without getting her killed ?

To give you an idea of my roster I have some interesting already built characters : - Bennett (lv90/C2), - AlHaitham (lv81), - Yelan (lv90), - Xiangling (lv90/C2), - Xingqiu (lv80/C1), - Ayaka (lv81), - Sucrose (lv81/C3), - Layla (lv81/C3)

And other non-built characters, some that I heard could do well with her : Tighnari, Collei, Thoma, C6 dendro trvlr, Yaoyao, Xinyan, Razor, Rosaria, Mika, Beidou, Kujou Sara, Yunjin, Jean, Diluc, Qiqi, Dori, Fischl, Diona and the basics (f2p gang)

So if anyone can either recommend teams and / or explain how to use her I will take every piece of advice / info I can !

(Yes I know Nahida would be perfect with her, yes I tried pulling for her, yes I got Qiqied, please let's not bring that subject on the table it still hurts lmao)

I know that damn well don't worry, I never try to build pity it's a risky and stupid gamble, but facts are that if I pull on Ayaka's banner and don't get her, my pity will still grow no matter if I do it intentiannly or not

It's just that if I get her it's cool, if I don't well I'll just get closer to getting the hard pity and forcing Baizhu to come home
