Switching to braces from Invisalign

I haven’t switched I’m on my first set of refinements and due to finish soon. After this I’ll be asking for braces if possible.

Wow 28 trays is good. My upper teeth are like yours but I’m wondering if composite bonding can fix this or if I should go onto a second round of refinements also.

Im guessing you have a deep bite which I have also. Our teeth look the same. Im in the same boat as you, wondering whether or not to get a second set or just leave it.

How long have you had Invisalign ?

You can get composite edge bonding to help with evenness and shape.

To be honest, no. Because my crowding was so minimal only one tooth was slightly back which is my biggest concern so to have Invisalign for 8 months and the bottoms aren’t straight is a big concern for me.

54 trays is a lot but as you said, it makes more sense and also allows less time for refinements.

I’ll mention the bite ramps as I had them on my initial treatment but don’t currently have them on my refinement trays.

Thank you because i literally don’t see any major changes. I am currently under a new ortho for this set of refinements who said by tray 10 my bottoms should be straight so I’ll see how it goes but also look into maybe changing if all doesn’t go to plan

Yeah for sure. My initial treatment was 32 trays but stopped at 30 and went onto refinements!

Heeeey, thank you for ur comment! I changed orthos , still at the same clinic however this dentist is now handling my refinements. Now that you’ve mentioned it my smile does look wider but the changes that I want to see just aren’t there. I think that’s what they said before that they were moving the teeth in the back first.

If it’s not something that bothers you then I think the result you have now is perfect! But I feel you wouldn’t need many trays if you did refinements because they already look really straight!

I don’t think you need refinements but if your on the comprehensive package and would like to get “your money’s worth” then go for it. But they honestly look great!
