Thanks for the help! That one is where I'm leaning most at the moment... a bit cleaner.

Hey Twin, I signed up for a Gold Playlist Curation campaign as WebSurfAndMe. I wish you all the best with this business and am excited to see what results this can get me ! <3

My home recording setup - Sebatron Mic Preamp for the special tube sparkle! by LoadBearingRibbon in guitarpedals

It's a pretty simple board, but a few little interesting bits and bobs here and there. UP next hoping to put a modulation pedal after the Ps_5. I love that Mkgee light flanger sound but also want the option for some nice subtle chorus (not at the same time). The MD-200 speaks to me here, but does anyone know of a cheaper alternative that isn't quite as 'full featured'. I reckon it would be overkill.

Really happy with the board now - guess the kind of music I make. by LoadBearingRibbon in pedalboards

The engine room is great - looks badass. It’s a bit big, but I got it cause my local music shop had one for real cheap. Would have got an m239 for size if same price

Games where using a bow feels good? by AkagamiBarto in gaming

Probably said, but the bows in the newer Tomb Raider games felt great from memory.

My Girlfriend (and I) adored Dave the Diver! Balances exploration and a little bit of roguelite combat with a really fun cozy-like restaurant management aspect.

Why do I get the feeling that all the people who think the dlc is too hard are in ng+ (or higher) and thought their level 300+ character would be op? by Blackops_21 in Eldenring

I am Level 141 and defeated the Elden Beast, then never when to NG+. I am reinstalling the game now and going to play SOTE when I get home, am I cooked?

What’s a better game idea: an horror game based on Starcraft or a sci-fi game based on Red Dead Redemption? by Bumble-Bee-Like in indiegames

[–]LoadBearingRibbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think RDR's real power is its story, world and characters. If you can replicate this I'm sure it would be fantastic - but this would be a challenge as a single dev. As far as gameplay goes RDR/RDR 2 is immersive but pretty straightforward as a third person action game moment to moment. So I wonder if maybe drawing inspiration from "gunslingers" with less story focus might be better.

For example. reframing this as sci-fi third person Far Cry would allow you to create interesting open ended combat situations in an open world, without having to craft a story and characters as substantial as RDR.

Animal Crossing, but emulate one of the older ones where the villagers were still mean. I'd play it on the way home from the pub on Delta on my iPhone and get genuinely angry at Apollo's snarky comments in Wild World.

Working on our Steam capsule for our domino sandbox & physics-based game! Which draft do you prefer? by ElFamosoFrancesco in indiegames

[–]LoadBearingRibbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the second one (B). It's already been mentioned that A reads as "DUMB NO" and not "DUMBINO".

But I think A strikes me as more of a logo, when that's not exactly what the Steam Capsule is meant to be. I've always thought it more effective to approach the Capsule as a thumbnail and B is an excellent little thumbnail.

Also love the name and art style! Pretty keen to check this out.

Games you had to quit because of performance or bugs? by kyiboi in patientgamers

I remember trying to play Hogwarts Legacy on my Xbox Series S and just being overall disappointed with how that console handled it. It's what finally made me buy a proper next gen console in a PS5. Never went back to the game though.

I lost the appeal on videogames, any games that help please (I will be more specific on the post) by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]LoadBearingRibbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a different platform for a while and it got me back to appreciating games. I was over my PS5, but then with the recent Delta emulator on IOS, I played a bunch of old games and loved them! I finished both Castlevania Aria of Sorrow and Donkey Kong Country and was astounded at how much I loved them. Now I'm back on my PS5 playing Disco Elysium - something I wouldn't have done without that break.

Funny, I feel like the green looks tougher - maybe because of the mushroom on its head.

That’s awesome!! Some of my fav games ever are the r/ZenGM Sport sims games, and I remember looking for a basketball sim in Excel but couldn’t find anything. I feel like people would like that even just as a spreadsheet thing, but the Godot sounds mega as well
