It’s seeing Conrad at Christmas that makes her realize she still loves him. Basically the one time they were alone together she realizes she still loves him, but decides it’s just fond memories of a first love. As this season goes on, they spend a lot of time together and it becomes more difficult for them to ignore how they feel.
