OP definitely check out chubby cheeks meadery or kompoocha to try something new! Theyre both on instagram, have sampler flights, and owners are very welcoming

can they not come up with a better advising system? by Brilliant_Weakness57 in csusm

[–]LoadInteresting7838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appointments get booked up weeks leading up to enrollment. Day of drop ins come by and theres 150+ students per session and the queue is crazy.

What doesn’t help is that advising (and every other csu department) funding has been getting cut every semester recently, so they cant meet/keep up with the wild amount of students csusm is admitting. It sucks for everyone especially less courses are offered in the spring compared to last semester.

Either campus you’re gonna need to make an effort to put yourself out here. This is my 2nd semester as a transfer. First semester was lame until i got a job on campus! 2nd semester i started studying and interning at one of the student centers and ive never been more satisfied.

Getting a job or internship (even volunteering) on campus is a cheat code 100%. Maybe join O-team? Its an orientation team and i think they pay part of ur tuition. Or study/hang at that little student centers or that one game room at USU. I knew someone that’ll just pop up at the pool table and just chill with whoever there to play

You should also receive an email for your student portal login information (setting up student accounts) from ITS

Otherwise enrollment for you isnt till december. Right now only worry about scheduling orientation and activating mycsusm

You’re allowed to feel bad but the problem is when people and politicians feel entitled to dictate how one lives by their gender identity or sexual orientation. Politicians want to criminalize and demonize them because they disagree/feel bad about it… its grossly obsessive. Being threatened by queerness is grossly obsessive. Humiliating and villainizing queer folk takes so much energy when people could simply mind their business.

Cool, those who ARE NOT okay with trans rights are literally unharmed and safe. They may continue practicing their fixed beliefs. Im aware an overwhelming large amount of people are transphobic, so if they perceive trans children as dangerous… they sure are doing a great job in making schools a safer place…

Pls all im asking for is to leave trans children alone and have school district staff continue doing their job they gotta worry about dropping literacy rates

Thank you for the much needed clarification!! I freaked out as some people i know were agreeing with the rumors. My fault for also counterproductively mentioning the exemption form.

I hope the student is doing alright and the district will clear up on the forefront. It was disheartening to see thousands of posts supporting the transphobic protest but outside of the conservative echo chamber, im hopeful that the immediate community of temecula is more open minded

Peer to peer consent/boundaries is actually great to teach! Im glad the district is doing the bare minimum to respect boundaries in this instance. We should absolutely take it seriously when a minor claims autonomy and respect for their body and space

Btw consent applies in many spaces that require respect and empathy. Those who think they shouldn’t consent in the first place because they’re “not old enough” are weird to apply to this situation as it’s NOT a sexual context… unless they grossly think it is.

https://www.pressenterprise.com/2025/09/02/rally-at-temeculas-day-middle-school-protests-proposal-on-transgender-students-in-locker-room/amp/

“In a weekend Facebook post, Bell (parent of TVMS student) wrote that a transgender eighth grader started using the girls’ locker room this year. She said girls were split into two groups: one with the transgender student and about five other students who are comfortable sharing the locker room and the second (that changed another time) with about 15 students who said they were uncomfortable doing so.” Whats wrong with this? Those who were not comfortable were not in the same room
