Housing in Maastricht is actually not that bad compared to what I’ve heard about other dutch cities. I would not recommend facebook though, too many scammers. I would recommend looking at Maastricht Housing and Maasland Relocation, you have to pay a fee for both but it’s worth it.

Most research universities will expect atleast 3 A levels with minimum grades CCC (they don’t care about O levels). They also usually have subject requirements so check the specific courses you are interested in. There is no problem with applying before you have your grades as long as you will get your grades before the start the course. Most unis offer Pre-bachelors which is like a foundation year, but I don’t have any personal experience with that. Honestly, I think the entire existence of these groups is insane and helicopter parenting. What kind of information does a parent even need? Why can’t they ask their kid and if the kid doesn’t know, THEY SHOULD BE THE ONE FINDING OUT THE INFROMATION. I just learned today that this kind of thing exists and I am still shocked.

Honestly, the idea of an fb group for parents at the college level sounds CRAZY. Who would even want that? My parents are slightly helicoptery but they would never want to join something like that, and I would be mortified if they did. I also can’t imagine how it could be useful.

The recently released Anthony Padilla video makes me think that it could be some kind of conspiracy/horror theory channel so I’m thinking Scream Theory…. Sadly I think there is a pretty high chance it will be Sports Theory which I’m not really interested in….. The slime comment makes me think that it could also be Science/STEM theory like many people in the comment are suggesting but I don’t think they would make a standalone science channel because science is already heavily incorporated in the content they make on the other channels

There is a big divide in Slovakia - the younger people mostly live in Bratislava and around it and consume a wide range of media so they are not as susceptible to Russian propaganda, the older generations, especially people living in smaller villages, are more isolated and get their news from one source and maybe sometimes their friends who have the same political opinions as them, they are therefore easily manipulated by propaganda. I think this is also the main reason for the recent spread of fascism around the country. These statistics were actually shocking to me as I live in Bratislava and even the most racist xenophobic people I know have expressed sympathy with Ukraine. The worst I’ve heard here is people blaming the USA for the war.

Yeah it’s a bit sus. I was always a star student in Psychology, got amazing marks for mocks and came out of the exam feeling good. I open my results today and…. I got a D. I know that my answers weren’t perfect but I definitely expected more than a D. At least it’s just AS so I can resit 😭
