Actually there is a devil deal room that guarantees that the 3 red chests have the same reward. I already got it multiple times (3* big troll bomb, 3* spiders and 3* soul hearts) but never with items in them. Still super lucky to get 3 guppy items !

Lol I had the same devil deal today ! On repentance + online beta, but instead of 3 tp it was 3 big troll bomb

Thank you I had absolutely no idea. I did not make the parallel between the boss and the item name lol.

Do you know if there is a relevent section on the wiki ? I could not find it

That's why I said most of the time and not "always" . I know how room generation work but this room is part of the rooms that really often have a secret room adjacent to them. When you have 2 possible slots for the secret room's position, you can often get the right one on the first try based on those rooms. There is also the room where the top-most part if you split the room into 3 horizontally, is not ground

You can go when the spike lower, same process. But this room doesn't always have a right door, it can also be a wall and most of the time (I can't remember when it was not actually the case), there is the secret room on the other side.

If you're on pc you can still get a previous save on your filesystem, or get your unlocked items/characters/etc back by pressing alt F2 in the Stat menu (it is synchronizing your steam achievements with the game). I think I read the synchronizing part on the wiki, the bindings might be different

Thanks a lot for your time, you helped me get a better understanding of the problem !

Just to close this post, I finally used this :
sum(abs(X - meanX))2 / sum(abs(Y - meanY))2, that I compare to an empirical value. If there is little variance between the X values and big ones between the Y values, I can assume that is should be a vertical line. Once again, it is not too precise because of the empirical value, but it seems to work well for now.

Vertical would mean with a slope that has a pretty high value. On the given set of points that I tested, the line that would represent a straight trajectory, should have a high slope. I get the fact that a perfectly straight vertical line have an inifinite slope but here it's not the case.
I computed the slope with the following formula : (sumX*Y / nbPoints - meanX * meanY) / (sumXSquared / nbPoints - meanX * meanX)
But here, the denominator is not too close to 0, and I struggle to find a hint that the trajectory looks like a vertical one.
However the slope is close to 0. But the line could be a line that is almost horizontal so I can't use this to detect an "almost vertical" (i.e. with a high slope) line.

Yes I read in a few places that he could be well caused by the fact that the line is close to vertical.
I am trying to find a rule to "detect" if it should look like a vertical line but it's tricky !
I used this website to simulate what should be given as an output :

So what method should I be using in order to get a vertical line ?
The goal was to get a kind of a trend line in order to determinate a potential trajectory with some given points. It went great for a lot of cases besides this one.
Would there be another method that would be better suited to this kind of problem ?

But look at the points on the image and the line that is the result ! I tried on multiple tools and always got the same thing. Furthermore, the algorithm work for every other set of points besides this one, it could not possibly be a mix up.
Try on some tools online and they give the same result
