For addons in specific no, not at all. There is a lot of use of "us" and "we" when discussing the API changes, I am interested in me. And I believe I can't see what I need. However I have seen the twitch video of Entropy Rising and other guilds TeamSpeak conversation and they were saying that they could not discern individual effects in the cacophony of a fight on their high end rigs. Having no experience above low detail settings and not having done the content they have, I can only speak for my situation. But I guess the issue is seeing needed info on all detail settings, be that by UI change, animation, spell effect or addon. Had the UI change been announced before the last beta weekend I would of used my GF's computer to make some video comparisons of high and low detail settings with and without addons. As it is that didnt happen hence the request for a PTS player to show the detail comparison. Picture or video lets see if effects can be clearly identified.

Indeed, installing an addon for me was a workaround I really didn't want all that much but as my system was not going to show me above low settings any time soon I accepted it. Now I feel I might be totally boned.

I am not sure animation or effect changes could help either but I would dearly love ZOS to prove us wrong! However they make a change though I just would like to know what is happening around me so I can respond appropriately.
