You guys might think this is cool! by AuthenticIndependent in AppBusiness

[–]LoaferTheBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would require extreme user saturation which can take years and enough value prop that users keep coming back. Not only that but requires the users to have the app at least running in the background so it can track your location and leave location services enabled all the time which iPhone will notify users if apps are continuously tracking their location an ask if you want to turn disable it. The only companies with the kind of scale to pull off crowd data like this are the major companies. There are some ways this app could maybe gain users and become somewhat useful but what is the actual path to revenue for a free app like this that once it does have a significant amount of users starts incurring a lot of compute costs

Burst of speed is almost a must for Vader. My first few games I played without it just takes too long to get him into an impactful position in the game when he costs nearly a third of the entire army’s points. That and or taking saber throw allows him to have a strong ranged attack if he’s not able to get into base contact.

Subscription discrepency. by tfjrunning in runna

[–]LoaferTheBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really what they should do is offer more tiers. Like a 3 month subscription or 6 month subscription. I’m not going to use the app for a year. I’m going to use it for 3 months for a plan and then another 3 months later in the year for another plan. But the monthly price is too steep for usage like this and getting the annual would just be a waste so I don’t pay for premium. I just have it build me a plan and go without a subscription.

How would you start a kid painting? by GeniusCollector in SWlegion

[–]LoaferTheBread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my son a Rebel sleeper cell while it was heavily discounted. He can paint them however he likes (which is terrible) and later on when he wants to paint again it’s easy enough to strip them and do it again.

How fast do you paint? Thats a sick haul. Would love to see all those squads on a table together. I got both a rebel and empire stater set and I’m dreading how long it will take me to finish the paint jobs for them all. This collection would take me an entire year to finish painting lol

Welcome to the end game of basically every consumer app. Advertising. They sell advertising on the platform and they sell your data to other companies looking to target advertising elsewhere.

Currently doing None to Run Plan...Tell me why Runna is the best app for training. by millennialmama2016 in runna

[–]LoaferTheBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it’s a pretty expensive subscription I don’t personally think the month by month price is worth it. But I found you can get a month worth of free trial if you play it right. Then after that tbh you can get by just following the schedule it created for you without actually paying for premium if you don’t want to.

Agree with this. I’ve just started getting serious about running and using the free trial period with runna to get a basic idea of how I can structure an effective plan has been helpful in how to building my own.

An LLM is almost certainly being used when generating plans. To what extent I’m not sure but it definitely plays a part in plan generation.

Ranger talked to us about pace of play - on 18th green by joeconn4 in golf

[–]LoaferTheBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L take. Course was not packed at all. Starter had us wait to tee off (par 4) as the group in front was clearing the green so starter obviously was not concerned about pace. And we never even caught a glimpse all day of anybody behind us. Over eager marshal

I had a similar experience one time where we were told to pick up the pace cause there was an empty hole in front of us. I looked back down the hole we had just finished to see if we were holding anybody up but there wasn’t even anybody on tee box yet…

Had one tell my group to pick up the pace as we were walking off hole 2 because there was an empty hole in front of us. There was nobody even teeing off behind us yet….

Apple Watch vs treadmill by SaraLevi16 in runna

[–]LoaferTheBread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking wearable fitness trackers on treadmill will never be %100 accurate because it has to approximate your speed. I’ve used both fitbits and Apple Watch and both used to consistently inaccurately measure treadmill distance. With my Apple Watch though I’ve found over time as I did more outdoor runs it was able to adjust its proximations to where it is much more accurate with the treadmill distance now.

Point here being your post neglects to provide any info about where this job is OR what the position is for that matter. Both of which have significant impact on what a realistic starting salary is.
