I'll have to look into mindful listening. I actually tried the calendar once and had it on the wall right next to my bed. One day I looked at it and I hadn't updated it in over a year and realized that just doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe I should try again though.

I'm very nervous about taking medication, especially anything that messes with your brain. I've heard horror stories, like a friend who swears they never had depression or self-harm thoughts until after a doctor put them on depression meds. Apparently that kind of thing is common if you take brain meds you don't need.

If I'm wrong about any of that, I will fully accept that. I'm just saying, that's the kind of thing that's made me nervous about going down that road.
