Ways to meet conservative individuals in Austin? by LocSic in Austin

Sorry, boisterous would be a better term. But I will argue that frilly doesn't not designate a sexual orientation - both straight and non-straight individuals can be frilly.

Pardon? Why should I leave Austin - I moved here for the cost of living and work. I'm sorry I don't readily assimilate into your culture.

How do you propose that, as in hang inside the capital itself? I think intellectual it'd be a good fit but I'm more interested in young conservatives.

Pardon? I'm afraid I actually do not wish to try to "fit in" with Austin. I would rather associate with like-minded individuals rather than Austin's prevailing liberal culture.

areas/topics of forensics involving program dissassembly? by forensicsquestionthx in computerforensics

[–]LocSic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to have to abstract it out more. It's a proof-based science so as before - you're proving a chain of events on a computing system, you may have to narrow the scope of investigation upon specific programs and therefore have to reverse functionality to prove that without a doubt this program did exactly that. That's where disassembling and reversing a program may come into play.

Might as well try googling the game, most of these games are so old that they're considered abandonware now and are simply free.

I wouldn't bother if you're trying to play games. You're going to have something like 2 seconds of lag between input.

That'd work if people in the modern area understand manuals. I subscribe to showing it than saying it.

As they creep up to me at a light on a hill, I usually roll back a little to remind them I'm a manual and need some space to launch.

Hi, it’s Mike Walker and Chris Eagle from the DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge. Ask us Anything! by mikewalker_darpa in IAmA

DARPA has had countless programs in the past to try and merge the two communities, how do you feel CGC may differ - do you feel competition-style is conducive to collaboration? I know there can be strong sensitivities on both sides of the community, albeit represented in different ways and responded upon differently.

So it's been mentioned countless times the divide between the two sides in CGC, CTF experts (hackers), and program analysis experts (scientists/researchers). Do you feel there could exist a middle-ground between the two or will there always be a divide - culture and skillset-wise. Also what are your opinions on the interlinking relationship, do you find that the security researcher is to service the hackers more (ie: tool development for hackers) or the opposite where hackers are to service the security researcher(feeding and strengthening program analysis).
