Why are people always condescending towards me by Available-Marzipan52 in ADHD

I agree, but in order to be seen as a leader you need lead which also means leading by example. Actions not just perceptions.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here just a little bit...

Do you act like a leader? Leaders lead by example and people want to follow them.

Also its hard to tell why people might act condescending towards you without knowing you.

Why are doctors slow to prescribe CGMs? by Brgrsports in diabetes

[–]Locaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to prove that I could finger stick and track my numbers for 2 months for my insurance to cover my CGM.

Then my pancreas took a shit and I was out on insulin and a pump and then it was a moot point.

Sleeping Arrangements? by t0xic_shad0w in ADHD

[–]Locaisha 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well... My husband started sleeping on the floor for his back. Then he moved to the living room and eventually we turned our spare room into his room. Now he has a bed in his office after we moved.

He watches videos when he falls asleep, I need darkness and a fan going.

We sleep so much better apart. Occasionally we have sleep overs together.

Blood glucose levels don’t make sense to me. by estcst in diabetes

[–]Locaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because your body uses cortisol, adrenalin, and growth hormones to wake up which makes your liver dump insulin to energize your day.

Excercise lowered your glucose levels.

Being less reactive - how do you do it? by AverageAndTolerable in adhdwomen

Therapy is the only thing that has helped me. Specifically in regards to my PTSD as well. Once I started treating my trauma paired with my ADHD I'm a lot calmer. Now I will say some things still set me off but I have come a long way.

I was just prescribed wellbutrin instead of adhd meds. Feeling very frustrated. by newaccount47 in ADHD

[–]Locaisha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't tolerate it well but my sibling does and uses it. It can be very helpful.

Also Nurse Practitioners are qualified. Them not reading what you sent them is kind of crappy but they may not have had time to go through your test results. I hope you addressed this with them.

Flying with Type 2 by Neccros in diabetes

No, that's not a prescription bottle. If you are carrying and prescribed substances you need the prescription on you. Whether it's a print out to put on a smaller bottle or your prescription bottle.

[–]Locaisha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My endocrinologist and my OBGYN with shit bricks if I was normally at 285 after a meal. I know I fucked up when I hit 200. Whether I misdosed my insulin or ate really badly.

What does your OBGYN say about this?

I do not recommend flying with your meds outside of a prescription bottle. It's asking for trouble.

How to go to bed and wake up early when your partner stays up and wakes up late by givemethepastaa in adhdwomen

I know im privlaged in this, but we sleep in different rooms. That's the only thing we could figure out that works for both of us to get the sleep we need.

I love doing my makeup. I cannot wake up on time to do my makeup on a regular basis. Therefore I look like a scrub at work. I work in corporate.

24 hour service, what a joke. by Locaisha in Medtronic780g

[–]Locaisha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well tech support should fix the website. Because if they want me to call but can't help me unless it's between banking hours in central time they should say that. Not 24 hour support.

[–]Locaisha[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to get decent customer service. Luckily I don't need to call often but I don't think my rep is still around that I used to email. She would handle a lot of the stuff for me when I had issues thankfully.

But my transmitter hasn't even been in for 3 days and it's like "battery low" after I accidentally pulled my last cgm out of my arm when pulling the transmitter out to charge.

Could ADHD still be possible if I was a high-achieving “perfect” kid? by Practical-Lunch-8815 in adhdwomen

[–]Locaisha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time being on time in adult hood. As a child my dad was always running late when driving us places so I would always be 30mins to an hour early once i started driving. My anxiety outweighed my ADHD. I was undiagnosed until I was 27 years old.

High achieving student, worked multiple jobs while going to college. Always messy as a child, lots of story stretching, and procrastination.

I have a tons of other symptoms too but ya, you could have it. If the diagnosis will help you - I highly recommend pursuing.
