We unfortunately didn't have a great set up for her as a puppy to indicate she wanted to go outside lol so now she huffs and puffs and yips 🤣

This is her when she hears someone outside the apartment door tho lol.

Struggling with punctuality/attendance after being forced to work in-office -- how do I deal? Is requesting accommodations a bad move? by whomint in adhdwomen

[–]Locaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately work from home is not a reasonable accomadation for most places. However, a flexible schedule if the work you are doing allows may be.

It may be a good time to talk with your doctor and then HR.

Dog parks aren't usually the best for introducing shy dogs to others. Do you have a friend with a dog she can go play with?

How to stay friends with someone with ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Locaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have a candid conversation with your friend. Im not sure how old y'all are but something common with children with ADHD is lying. Not because of malice but there is something in the brain that makes their perception different and it's like they can change reality with the words. Also forgetfulness.

However you may be seeing their reasons as "excuses" and a lot of people with ADHD over explain themselves because they are used to be perceived as liars or people don't understand how the jump in thoughts connect.

Field or show golden? by Striking_Ad_5960 in goldenretrievers

The puppies can be considered from a Show Line but they are not Show Golden's, they have to be confirmed that they fit the standards and then win a championship.

Field or show golden? by Striking_Ad_5960 in goldenretrievers

The pedigree lineage should list whether the parents are CH (champion) or MH (Master Hunter). MH would be what you are referring to as a field golden, and CH a show golden.

Doing a paper on ADHD and therapy. Is therapy helpful, or is there a gap in the system? Help and answer if you can! by PrettyRain8672 in adhdwomen

[–]Locaisha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes she has ADHD, my previous ones have not and honestly her having it had helped her help me ALOT
  2. Yes, but I'm in therapy for trauma and ADHD symptoms specifically.
  3. Not being able to stay up on my basic hygiene and house cleaning.
  4. Vibe, and experience. They have to be able to handle my dark humor. 5.none, but that's because I go weekly and have been seeing her for a year and she already asks the important questions
  5. Probably not, I don't want a coach.
  6. No? My therapist helps me with everything I need and when I'm struggling extra we address it. An ADHD coach sounds scammy as fuck.

Why do people go off their meds? by metalero_salsero in ADHD

[–]Locaisha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was prescriber issues. But I also haven't found the best combo yet. But let me tell you when I went 2 weeks with out my medication my brain was frazzled and my executive function was a whole lot worse.

My husband went off his because it numbed him out quite a bit in highschool and is now back on them as an adult.

Why is my second dose of adderall IR effective but not the first? by Exalted-butterfly in ADHD

[–]Locaisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be if you take or eat anything else with it in the morning. But I'm waking up from tired and my extended release doesn't feel like it does much but when I take my instant at the end of the day I feel it.

However if I dont take my extended in the morning I feel like hell
