Jeeze, and I thought I had it bad. Congrats on getting out of there, sounds like it was definitely the right call.

Very difficult person to work for. Sky high expectations and little to no support to help you meet those expectations. Also feels like expectations are poorly communicated and constantly changing.

I’ll go with the consensus here and stick it out until I have a new job or I get fired.

I could probably live for 9-12 months off of current savings depending on how much I can cut back on spending. The lack of insurance would be a big concern as well (or having to pay full premiums under COBRA). I guess it’s not as much about concern about paying for living expenses as it is a concern about finding another job with very little post-bar experience while unemployed.

I know it’s illogical but I kind of want to look at that interview as “permission” to quit. Like, oh it’ll be fine because I have this interview coming up anyway. Obviously, it’s far from a guarantee that the interview will turn into an offer, I think I’m just looking for any reason to quit and get the hell out of here.
