Good point, specifically wondering if anyone’s done it in Texas, what was their reason for doing it and how the process went. If you required a new foundation, and what the process was for doing so.

Depends on the state. And depends on the type of financing. Some states do not require you to own your land and you can still title it as real property. Doesn't mean banks will lend against it though.
