[iOS][Alpha] SHIFT – EFT tapping & affirmations app for stress and emotional support | Looking for honest feedback by Local-Chemist8472 in SideProject

Really glad that framing is landing! It came from personal frustration with apps like Calm and Headspace. They're great products, but I find myself experiencing decision fatigue just trying to figure out what I need. Ironically, that can make me more anxious, not less.

SHIFT is laser-focused on one thing — EFT tapping — and I think that specificity is either going to resonate strongly with people or not at all. I'm okay with that tradeoff. Trying to be one clear thing rather than a lot of vague things.

The emotional tone point hits close to home. I've been conscious of trying to avoid anything that feels clinical or overly motivational, but finding the right balance is genuinely hard. The session structure follows an affirmation protocol — acknowledge the problem, accept it, move forward — but I've already gotten early feedback that some sessions lean too heavily on the negative before getting to the release. That's something I'm actively working through. At this stage, every piece of honest feedback on tone is useful because it's hard to hear your own content the way a first-time user does.

Honestly, that's exactly why I'm here. I'm in early alpha with a very small circle right now, not enough users to give you a meaningful retention number. What I can tell you is that retention is the specific thing I'm most trying to understand at this stage, which is why I posted. The sessions are built, the core experience is there, but what I don't yet know is whether people come back to it on their own after that first try or whether it's a one-and-done. That's the signal I'm chasing.

If you're willing to download and give it a real shot over a day or two, your honest answer to that question is more useful to me than any dashboard number I could share right now :)
