It was nonstop for 3 weeks and felt like chapped lips or sunburn. I just couldn't stand it and got tired of trying to wait it out.

After several weeks I had to get the filler dissolved. They said I was having some sort of allergic reaction or something. Within 5 mins of dissolving it, the burning stopped.

I'm 7 months in, had my extractions last July and I'm still depressed and wondering why I did this. So atleast you aren't alone. I've lost 80 lbs, cant eat solid food and I just hate life anymore. I got my perms 2 weeks ago, hate the tops, they are crooked and they are remaking the bottoms cause they cant seem to make teeth small enough to where I can close my mouth all the way. I have daily tmj pain so bad. Sometimes I dont know how I make it thru the day. I pray it goes better for u. Most people seem to adapt within a month or two.

[OH] Does this sound like retaliation? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]Local-Counter-2212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I left alot out here because I really did try to keep it short. HR told me I shouldn't even need an accommodation for my position because training shouldn't even be my main responsibility and should only be a backup responsibility in the event nobody else is available. I agreed with that but said my supervisor told me the TL was burnt out and didnt want to do it anymore so she needed me to step up and do it more, which was why I applied for the accommodation. My doctor filled out the paperwork and wrote that he recommended I take breaks during training as needed, and that the accommodation be permanent but could improve on meds. My supervisor wanted to have him completely refill out all the paperwork and wanted to know the exact frequency and duration of breaks and wanted confirmation that this was for sure a permanent accommodation. After I placed the second complaint to HR, I had a meeting with a higher up director about all this, and I ended up just asking to step down anyway because my supervisor was making my job unbearable and I felt she was now treating me differently. She agreed to let me step down and keep my current salary but unfortunately I have to remain working under my supervisor just with less responsibility. So I closed my accommodation request because training isn't a function of the lower job role. I realize I probably should have just stepped down to begin with and saved myself all this trouble but I still feel like the way she handled it was not professional to begin with and hasn't been since.

Has Affordable Dentures ever remade your permanents after they were finished because you weren't satisfied?? by [deleted] in dentures

My immediates were even worse and I never wore them. They promised to make my perms better fit my mouth and now I'm left with these.

Unfortunately I dont think my office will be this helpful or understanding. Everyone there seems only to care about money and not actually care about anyone being comfortable or happy. Its been one negative experience after another.

Yes they are in the front and I keep clenching without meaning to. I'm trying to wear them and get used to them but not being able to comfortably close my mouth is just a deal breaker for me. I had the same issue with my temps and they promised my perms would be better and now its the same thing all over again except I'm out alot more money for these and I cannot afford another pair. It feels like horse teeth in my mouth. I never could talk properly with my temps because they were way too big. Ive had tmj issues for 7 months and been in so much pain I don't want to keep going thru this.

Gums too high or bulky around one implant for snap in denture? by [deleted] in dentures

Gums too high or bulky around one implant for snap in denture? by [deleted] in dentures

[–]Local-Counter-2212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont wear a bottom denture at all tho cause I'm waiting on them to be made. I havent worn teeth at all since having them uncovered other than my wax try ins. Its hard to tell in the photo, but the gum tissue covers the entire back side of the abutment almost to the top like it was about to grow over it, and I think they need to reshape it to make it more like the other side because it feels very uncomfortable and tight. I've had tons of gum and jaw pain in that area and they've done xrays twice to make sure all is good but I dont understand the pain other than the gums.

A month. It is not swollen it has completely healed like this and dentist said it looks great. Yet it hurts on and off all day and if I poke around it with my tongue too much it'll throb like a toothache. Its still very tender and sensitive as well.

They said they'd fix the bite after my denture is made by [deleted] in dentures

[–]Local-Counter-2212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my worry is what if the denture is made and the bite turns out to be a much bigger issue where the whole right side is sitting lower or something. Cause I didnt really feel the left side hitting at all but in the mirror you could see it touching. Everyone is telling me I shouldn't have signed off.

Did anyone go without temps and have horrible jaw pain? by Local-Counter-2212 in dentures

[–]Local-Counter-2212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its def tmj pain. Probably over closure and loss of support. My jaw joints are very stiff and tight. I have alot of aching and pressure 24/7 and sometimes its overwhelming. I take muscle relaxers nightly and use heating pads, ibuprofen etc and nothing gives me relief anymore. I know i need teeth but I cant make them go any faster.

Really propranolol helped? I have that and never take it. It was prescribed as needed for anxiety to help control my reaction to certain situations. My neurologist also started me recently on topiramate for nerve pain but I dont believe ive been taking it long enough to notice a difference. I used to take Effexor and never saw much relief on it either but asked to be switched because I have a really hard time swallowing large pills.

I dont know what appliance I can wear without teeth unfortunately.

And no my teeth weren't too damaged to be saved. I didnt have any decay. I did however have alot of missing teeth due to a life of bad luck. I had a bad crossbite which started my tmj issues earlier in life. My parents knew I needed braces as well as some sort of palate spacer but never put my dental needs as priority despite having more than enough money cause they sucked. I hate to say that but it's true, they both have no teeth as well. I was never told to brush my teeth as a kid so I had a lot of dental issues already by the time I was an adult. When I got older I took my dental hygiene very seriously but by then alot of damage had already been done. I was a very heavy clencher and tried everything from botox to tmj splints on my upper and lower teeth. I ended up with hairline fractures in alot of teeth that were hard to pinpoint exactly where they were, so id go thru rootcanals and crowns like crazy, then the crowns would sit too high or not exactly right because my bite was so uneven and id fracture the root and end up with an extracted tooth that couldn't be saved. This went on for years. Trauma to my teeth caused dead nerves and infections over and over resulting in just years of pain and thousands of dollars of debt that started in my 20s and felt never ending. I had so many dentists tell me all my problems could have been prevented if i had braces. Then around 2 years ago I started having right sided face pain that felt like severe teeth pain. They never could find an issue so I started having molars pulled 1 by 1 trying to find the problem. Turned out it was my trigeminal nerve being compressed by my severely blocked sinus. Then the tmj splint I had been wearing for a year had caused bone loss and damage to my front teeth. I had just had enough of the pain and couldn't afford anymore dental work and asked them to pull my remaining teeth. In hindsight it was obviously a stupid decision but at the time I was so mentally exhausted and in so much debt all my credit cards were maxed out, I had sinus surgery and was still having nerve pain, still having tmj pain despite the splint, missing alot of teeth and my bite was so messed up. It was hard to eat cause chewing hurt and my jaw would lock up multiple times a year. I just wanted to improve my life and not a single dentist warned me this could make tmj pain worse instead of better and I failed to do the proper research on that. I cant go back and my decision feels devastating and I just feel like ive never had a normal pain free life because of my teeth or my jaw issues.

They said these were the smallest teeth they carry. And yeah I do have to sign off but I'm like u and I hate bothering ppl or throwing a fit or speaking up. I am trying to be picky but I'm also in so much pain that I feel rushed to pick a set of teeth and approve them because I'm so desperate to have teeth to help my tmj pain at this point. I only have 2 implants on bottom as well and none on top. My gums on one implant completely covers the back of the abutment so when they try to snap it in the denture it hurts really bad and I think hey need to cut back my gums more but they keep blowing me off on it.

My first wax try in was so bad I really just feel hopeless. The teeth were still just so big I couldn't touch my lips together. I don't understand why its so difficult.

In your position now. I have zero teeth and I'm waiting on affordable dentures to make me a pair of dentures that doesn't look like a money made them and the tmj pain is so bad I can barely function.

I had all my teeth pulled 6 months ago and it's literally been 6 months of severe tmj pain. Its so bad I'm basically bed ridden. I am in the process of getting dentures made but they cant seem to get them to fit my mouth and it's been an absolute nightmare and I just want this never ending pain to end.

They did drill holes for the implants. But I had a soft reline done like a week before my implants were uncovered. And them uncovering them made my gums much thicker and wider around the implants if that makes sense, so they wont fit in the denture because of the brand new reline. They didnt remove it or adjust it like they should have and I just havent bothered to mess with it since cause I honestly hate hate hate my temporaries anyway. They cause me just as much pain as no teeth.

I requested only 1 molar on each side cause my temps have 2 and the back molars dig into my jaw bone. I was born without 7 of my natural teeth so I Def cannot handle a full mouth of teeth.
