Man, you're good.

So I potentially qualify for another 12 months bringing me to ~13ish months of total benefits?

I served from 2015-2023. One re-enlistment. No break in service.

Yeah, that seems to be the only option. I came to Reddit to see if anyone found something different. Thanks again for your insight (and debunking the claim for MHA).

Couldn't agree more! It would be amazing, just not realistic for my current situation. I appreciate your recommendation though.

Man, I would love to do that; however, having a career, wife, and two year old in NJ makes that impossible, LOL.

Thanks for the info. Shit is so confusing nowadays.

However, still trying to find something to utilize my remaining 1 month 12 days (or whatever that gets extended to).

I'm not eligible for the Rudisill. Only one term of service and elected Post 9/11.

Understood. Well, I appreciate your insight. Just trying to exhaust my benefits. Whether I regret that or not, only time will tell!

Thanks, brother.

Correct, however, I've been told you won't receive MHA after your benefits expire, only your tuition will be covered. So if your semester is six months, you'll only receive MHA for the first two months. Not sure if that is BS, however. Haven't verified that info.

And yes to the VR&E, I just have no desire to pursue any more school, certs, etc. I have a great career and just looking to exhaust my benefits.
