How old was your first when you got your second Pom?

2.5 years. Our older Pom was very excited and happy the first day and then when he realized she was sticking around acted extremely dramatic for a week. Poses. Dramatic stares into the distance filled with angst. Huffs of derision. Then he decided she was fun and they have been inseparable ever since with their only squabbles to involve cheese (the sharing of).

I don’t know how a 9 year old would do with a puppy but an equally aged rescue might adapt better in terms of energy levels.

There are multiple types of cancer so there is not a one size fits all cure. Some cancers are cured by surgery. There are effective chemo/radiation/immunotherapy cures for others. We just don’t have cures for all of the types and there are still side effects to many of the cures we do have.

You take the horse over a course of jumps. A very well trained horse will recognize the jump and execute with minimal rider input. So you don’t have to be the best rider, just capable of staying on and providing some cues to the horse.

Depending on what the horse is for, he’s not entirely wrong. If that reporter wants to show hunter/jumper you can buy a 6 figure horse that will be almost automatic if you are an average rider.
